392 | It always takes me about three days to get back to normal after finals. I slept for 12 hours last night, so we’re not quite there yet. It’s funny because in college I could lose a night of sleep and be no different for it, but now that I’m older my GOD do I need to sleep more lol. I can’t bounce back anymore.

10 Ways to Simplify Life
1. Don’t try to read other peoples’ minds and don’t expect others to be able to read yours. Communicate if it is important to you.
2. Don’t expect to be friends with everyone. We all are different – and we all like different things. Instead, invest your time in a few good friends. That’s all you really need to feel happy and fulfilled.
3. Create a budget and live within your means. Accruing debt will only cause you to feel stressed.
4. Get rid of the monster of jealousy, and only compare yourself with yourself.
5. Organize your clutter and get rid of some stuff. It will leave you feeling calmer, and will save you lots of time!
6. Stay on the sidelines and don’t get drawn into pointless dramas in other peoples’ lives (unless it’s a crisis – and you know you ought to help).
7. Finish what you’ve started, and then do something else.
8. Treat every person you meet with respect, and err on the side of being patient and kind.
9. Accept there are things that you can’t change or control, and focus on those things that you can change or control.
10. Don’t be too proud to apologise. Admit that you were wrong, say you’re sorry, and move on.
6 Steps to Accepting Yourself
1. Accept that everybody makes mistakes. It’s part of learning, and the main way we grow.
2. Accept your body as it gives you life. Choose to love and to nourish it. Also, every single body is different and unique. So, choose to find and focus on those features you can love.
3. Accept that you can’t change what happened in the past. But that was then – and this is now – so look to the future, and let go of the past.
4. Accept that others can think what they like – and sometimes their opinions will be hurtful and wrong. But they don’t know your story – and their judgments may be false – so ignore what they are saying, and get on with your own life.
5. Accept that your life is your responsibility. Your thoughts, opinions, and what you say and you do. And be aware of the consequences of those, too.
6. Accept where you’re at in your journey in life. Be patient, understanding, and kind to yourself.

amazing!
Be prepared
Beberapa toko gelap, ngga nyala sama sekali.
Fix kayak lagi zombie apocalypse.
Too absurd.
We will never know what future will bring us. Be realistic, fact check,
and be prepared.
summer productivity
1. prepare your class materials for next semester. get your textbooks, notebooks, etc. prepared for next semester.
2. read. this keeps you’re brain active and is enjoyable!
3. learn a language. use an app like duolingo to work on a language!
4. read your syllabi. start reading up on topics you’ll be discussing in your classes next semester! this way you’ll have some background on them when school starts.
5. get organized. clean out your desk, backpack, etc., so you have a fresh start in the fall.
6. pursue your hobbies/interests. now that you have some time on your hands, pursue your interests that you don’t necessarily have time for during the school year!
7. wake up at a good time and go to bed early. you don’t want to lose your sleep schedule from last year, as it will be hard to get back when school starts again!
8. have a routine. for me, the openness of summer (even though i have a job) drives me crazy if i don’t have some sort of routine! create a day-to-day routine that lets you at least feel productive.
9. volunteer/intern somewhere you’re interested in. this doesn’t have to be a huge time commitment (i have a part time job and an internship and i’ve been fine) but looks great on your resume!
10. relax and have fun!! summer break is meant to be a break. if you don’t let yourself relax, you won’t be refreshed for when school comes back around.
as always, thanks for reading! x
