It’s been going on for a month, maybe even more. You weren’t proud on letting it stretch for this long, but you were still holding out hope, your faith in him too strong.

Tom was growing distant, farther from your reach despite the fact that you sleep on the same bed and live in the same house. The house that was once coated with warmth, laughter and happiness, but now, it’s different, somewhat… cold, unnerving.

As a matter of fact, he barely even is home, and when he is, he treats you as someone who’s just occupying the space, not someone who has seen him for him, naked and flawed, both demons and angels alike.

He’s always glued to his phone, other times, fast asleep, or that’s what you think anyway when he’s in the bedroom at two in the afternoon. Simply put, he never truly gets to spend much time with you at all, despite being in the same house.

Kisses don’t feel as warm, hugs just the same, and the last time you made love… gosh, it was a month and a half ago, which sounds so bad given that, that’s how long he’s been home for, right after his junket for Onward.

It’s like there’s an obvious wall between you two, and you know there is, you’re just ignori—no, denial is the right word. You’re in denial of what your three-year relationship has whittled to.

It were all lies- Tom Holland x Reader

You lay there on the bed thinking about what just happened between you and Tom, crying like you never had before. You couldn’t believe it was all a lie. You trusted him, showed him the real you that no one has ever truly seen. You opened yourself up for him. Out of everyone and every boy never would you have thought Tom would play you like this.

*Two hours before*

You and tom were sitting on the couch eating takeout watching some random tv show. After both of you were done eating you cleaned everything up and brought all the tableware to the kitchen. Tom was in the living room smiling and laughing like an idiot. You walked up to him “what are you laughing about” you said to him. “nothing” Tom said while putting his phone on the table, “Let’s continue watching the show. The next few minutes his phone kept blowing up with notifications but he just ignored it, “Tom your phone keeps going off just take a look or something” you said. He just shrugged and continued watching the show. After about half an hour he went to the bathroom, you looked at his phone which was still going off. You wanted to take a look you really really did but felt bad, “no I’m not like that” you said to yourself. It didn’t last 2 seconds and you found yourself looking at his notifications. What you read shocked you, you let out a loud gasp which caused Tom running over to you. “what happened, what’s wrong Y/N?” he said with a concerned look. You walked over to him and pushed his phone in his hand, “care to explain?” you said with the angriest look it was almost scary. He looked at his phone while tears formed in his eyes.

Notifications: Harrison: I can’t believe how long you’ve been keeping this bet going on man it’s been 6 months. Harry: yea you proved that you can get in her pants easily I think it’s time to show how easy you can break her heart. Sam: you aren’t starting to have real feelings for her are you haha.

“I trusted you Tom” he looked at you now crying. “I don’t know what to say Y/N”. “Explain to me why the hell they are saying this, is it true?” you said now also crying. “It is but it’s not like that anymore, I had a bet with them that I could win you over easily but I- I swear it’s not like that anymore my feeling for you are real now but they don’t know that” “So it were just lies? I was just a bet to you?” Tom looked at you, the hurt in his eyes. “Y/N I swear to you it’s not like that anymore since I got to know you” he said “Why should I believe you? Our whole relationship is a lie” you tried your best not to scream at him. “You have every right not to believe me but I do really love you and I always will”. “I want you to get out” you said not even looking at him. “Y/N I want to talk about this” “No I need to think, get out Tom”. He stood still for a few seconds looking lost at you before packing his stuff and leaving. You just went to bed not wanting to feel anything anymore now. Harrison, Harry and Sam were calling and texting you a thousand times but you didn’t even want to hear their voice right now. You turned off your phone completely and went to sleep really not wanting to deal with the next day.
