I've seen a little bit of questioning over the categorization of TBC, so let me share a journal entry from Montgomery as found in the introduction to The Blue Castle: the Original Manuscript, emphasis mine:
On Wednesday [February 4] I finished a novel, The Blue Castle—a little comedy for adults.
So while TBC may be shelved as YA, Montgomery wrote it with an adult audience in mind.

oddly specific thing that brings me joy: watching ink dry. also have been peeling my nail polish off in one piece recently and am overly pleased by it :D
phone wallpaper: picture of the beach near my grandma's house at sunset, from the last time i visited her.
food i'll always order: anything with shrimp, jalapeños, or guava (never had them all at the same time, although i did have guava shrimp once and it was pretty good and i feel like jalapeños wouldn't ruin it)
song i have on repeat: "current affairs" by lorde
favorite book/movie/show: laura by vera caspary, and the 1944 movie adaptation, are def both my fave book and movie of all time! buffy is probably my favorite tv show.
favorite scent: i haven't thought about this very much...i like most pleasant scents? hmm some really specific ones i like are the smell of cleaning supplies and this bath and body works lotion called "secret wonderland". i associate both with nice memories from my Youth and they both immediately make me happy/nostalgic.
current hyperfixation: i've been getting back into playing baldur's gate 3 again! also read two books about the halifax explosion recently (joyce glasner's and john bacon's) and am wanting to read more. janet kitz's book is on my list next.
current occupation: middle management at a [niche hobby] supply company. dealing with customers and suppliers is kind of a pain but i do get to indulge my interest in said hobby and try new products before they're released which is fun :D
morning or night person: i used to be a night person, but i've had to get up early for my commute for the past several years (before my current job, i worked a 7-3 shift) so i've shifted to being a morning person! i love getting up early when it's quiet and making breakfast and doing some writing -- i've always written best super early in the morning and really late at night anyway.
origin of your username: when i was in high school (lol) my friends and i had an inside joke that "friday" came from the name "frida" instead of "freya" and when i was stuck on making my AO3 name, the joke popped into my head and here it is.

Haven't read it yet but LMM did Dora Keith so dirty and it made me feel really called out for ignoring 'good introverts' as boring lol ....
aahhh, very much agree! i am much more of a dora than a davy and also always took the way dora was written rather personally. ngl rereading the davy & dora bits of the books was kind of an exercise in frustration -- the shed incident most noticeably since it brings in anne and how she makes the whole thing about davy's feelings, but there's a bunch of background incidents (dora falling into the pigpen! dora falling down the stairs! davy cutting up all of dora's aprons!) that all get written off like it doesn't really matter that these things happen to dora, because only a boring, staid girl would care about behaving well or keeping her clothes clean, and such a girl doesn't need affection anyway. it was unpleasant :/

"One time…Davy and I came over to see the parrot," she continues. "But Mr. Harrison had locked it up, of course. We tried to talk to it through the door but it didn't work — not until Davy kicked the door, anyway, then the parrot started swearing an absolute storm. We ran out, we were so frightened someone would hear it and think it was us — can you imagine?" Paul has to laugh at the thought of the twins hurtling out of the house as though the devil had caught them. "And what did Teacher and Miss Cuthbert say when they saw you?" "Oh. Well, I don't know." Dora's hand flutters to her mouth, as though she wants to cover it, push the words back. After a moment, though, all she says is, "Davy locked me in the shed. So I couldn't go home." Tales and secrets. It occurs to Paul that Dora Keith has a few of her own, too.
