After years of reinvention and several reincarnations,FriendlyFire are bringing their unique brand of hate metal to the public with ferocious tenacity!
Not even a week after having played a cracking good show in the theatre room among the New Globe’s 2015 new years eve Ear Candy lineup, the venue managers have asked them back to headline another show in the main stage area. They were supported by exceedingly decent opening acts from a few new guys, with Fight Ibis providing some nice psychedelic flavours,DPOOA delivering a lot of rocking avant-garde instrumentals, and Uncle Buck providing an opportunity to get your heavy metal on. So far, the year 2016 has kicked off to a pretty awesome start for FriendlyFire.
As per usual, this gig was an excellent experience for the fans, and seemingly equally so for the band members themselves. If you’re into the likes of Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Murderdolls or Korn, the brutal and audacious theatrical performances FriendlyFire put on at their shows are experiences not to be missed if you can help it. Axel never fails to capture his audience with the highly intense energy he thrusts upon violently emotional lyrics, to which even a devil may cry. What’s also really cool about FriendlyFire shows like this one, is thatDustin utilises wireless technology between his guitar and amp rig, so he can occasionally step down from the stage area along with Axel on vocals, and get more closely involved with the fans during a set. Recently, Aurora has also started going wireless between her bass guitar and amp rig as well. It’s always a good thing to have musicians and their fans connecting on the same level like that, and just makes the experience that much more special for everybody who came.
Every show right up to this one has been full of awesome energy. The band has great potential to exceed their influences, and will definitely go far.

Last Saturday (19/12/2015) FriendlyFire hit the stage with Something Something Explosion. Axel even joined SSE on stage for their cover of the nobodies! Was not a show to miss out on.
