Hello everyone! Hope you've been having a wonderful day (and sending some hearts if you haven't!). Recently, uni started remotely which means online classes at home (yay) and as an incoming freshmen, in the two months that have passed, i have come to the great realisation that life is very lonely without people to talk to around you. Until now, I'd always had my school friends but now they're all gone to uni and are busy with their own schedules leaving me to roll on my bed all day, which as you can expect, has only led to me brooding about how i am wasting the prime of my youth all alone. Online uni, in my experience, has led to even more of a disappointment since no one knows anyone and now, desperate for some human interaction, i decided to take it out to the internet to find friends, assuming there is also someone out there in this big wide world who is also in the same predicament as me.
So that's how we ended up here now! With the 'Friends From Afar Project', to connect ppl like (and unlike) me so that we can all enjoy making new and wholesome friends.
I've made a google forms that you can fill out and be matched with a pal based on your interests and preferences. E.g. study pals for motivation, book clubs for ppl w similar tastes, ppl up for what my day was like chill talk, just wanna a find a new bestie, etc, etc. Pretty chill and simple tbh and would be a huge help if you'd at least give the form a glance before continuing your tumblr browsing session!
