It sort of breaks my heart when I see posts on here that are like "I relate SO HARD to Tori Spring" and then they just go on to list all her negative traits and her struggles. Like? She has a lot of positives too? That's the whole point of the damn book. And also it feels a bit dismissive of the author, who tried to write a multidimensional character that gets watered down to misanthropy and depression.

Maybe try relating to Tori Spring by not giving up and finding joy and trusting people and opening up to your friends and being there for your family and getting involved in something you're passionate about and getting kicked out of a thrift store for playing music.

Just a suggestion.
