Wander comes clean to Sylvia that their newly-reformed travel buddy has been making goo-goo eyes at him behind her back, and he's kinda sorta making goo-goo eyes at her too? A Deathstar scenario I wrote at 5AM in June 2024, that I only decided to refine and release two years later.

A long time ago, I drew the "prototype" designs of Wander and Dominator together... Aaand I never posted it, since it's unfinished.

Until now, because I was asked by @raddestgamer to share it after I mentioned the old drawing in a comment. Anything for a follower!

These early designs were named Wander and Bombshell. I'd call the ship "Supernova" instead of Deathstar.

I imagine their personalities a bit differently from the final iterations. Wander is a friendly, down-to-earth, nature-loving old hippie. Bombshell is a bubbly, hyperactive menace who loves destruction specifically via explosives.

But I'd approach the slow burn a lot like Deathstar. Bombshell is defeated, Wander befriends her and teaches her a slower pace of life, she learns to value property and her surroundings instead of demolishing them... Finally: "I NEED THAT OLD MAN!!"

I haven't been making any art or finishing WIPs because my life sucks, but I did forget to post this:

If Dee gets up in the middle of the night, she'll drag her orange husband out of bed with her like an emotional support teddy bear 🥺

Lately I've been trying to give myself a bit of art education, because I know I can do better, but I historically rarely went out of my way to teach myself.

This is my first time experimenting with things I'm learning.

over the past 2 years of shipping Deathstar, do you know who else besides Sylvia I wanted to see react to it the most?

Draykor and Demurra came off as having very level-headed ideas about relationships going into marriage, and they're raising three kids. Frank Angones said they would've been part of The Star Nomad ensemble for Season 3.

So, I imagine my post-S3 Wander and Dee revisiting the old galaxy for the first time since they started dating, and this nuclear family couple struggling to disguise their negative bias, like skeptical in-laws 😭😭😭

Hey guys, I'm back!

I shifted my creative focus away from WOY fanart about 7 months ago. I didn't abandon Tumblr entirely, I just went into "spectator mode". But I got the itch to come back, seeking familiarity.

Here's my plan: I'm revisiting my unfinished Wander, Dee, and Sylvia Q&A by answering 2-4 more pending submissions. I also have a surprise that's written and ready to go! Afterwards, I'll be free to passively make Deathstar and other WOY stuff sometimes, if I want to. I can't give up this niche forever, right?

April was the blog's 2nd anniversary. There's been a steady trickle of likes and reblogs the entire time I was MIA, and I actually hit 100 followers! Thank you very much! To any returning visitors, I hope you're well.

Happy 12th Anniversary to Wander Over Yonder! I need a break from my inbox, so I’ll share this instead.

I wanted to compare Dominator’s design in the show (left) VS how I draw her (right).

My design is predominantly based on her later appearances, specifically “The End of The Galaxy.”

I don’t know that mine are “better” per say or just different, but my friend loves WOY and he mistook the real screenshot in the 2nd row as the fake one…
