I'm from the Main line too these are so true!
That's the intention!
Glad you enjoy. Maybe I'll actually start this up again at some point.
The Main Line according to me:
Paoli: Far away. No one goes there. Has a good Asian restaurant I think? And a hospital?
Daylesford: There are horses! And an Abbey!
Berwyn: Berwyn is nice. There are lots of stores and food. And... yeah.
Devon: HORSESHOW. That's all.
Strafford: Where is Strafford? Is that where Bertucci's is? I think so.
Wayne: Restaurants. Lots of restaurants. And coffee shops. And 3 fro yo stores. And a store that just sells peanut butter. Why are there no shops? You can't go shopping in Wayne, it's ridiculous. Oh also there's an awesome movie theater.
St. Davids: Again, what actually is this. Everyone just groups these 3... 4 into Wayne. They don't deserve to have town names.
Radnor: See above. But Radnor high school is there. Although Radnor middle school isn't...
Villanova: Aaah used to have the roller rink, now it just has... a college.
Rosemont: Haha this is the town Pretty Little Liars was based on. Rosemont.. Rosewood... clever...
Bryn Mawr: Oh Bryn Mawr... It's torn between Starbucks and Cosi and a bunch of chain places, and then the artsy movie theater and a music store and Milkboy. It's trying to be hipster/artsy (a la Bryn Mawr college) but kind of failing. Not really much to do here besides suffer in high school--I mean, what?
Haverford: Takes up about 3 seconds of Lancaster Ave. Most of which is the Haverford school. And Breuggers.
Ardmore: Suburban square! Shopping! Stores! This is what Wayne should be like.
Wynnewood: More stores. And car dealers.
Narberth: Kinda cute I think? Do people go there?
Merion: Basically just a train station.
Bala Cynwyd: Expensive things. And synagogues.
Overbrook: Basically Philly.

Who has two thumbs and is back on the Main Line for Thanksgiving?
THIS GIRL.
Today I went to Suburban Square and nearly died several times while trying to cross the street. I just wanted to say thank you to all the Main Line moms who are in such a shopping frenzy that they are willing to mow down pedestrians on their way to Williams Sonoma.
And don't even get me started on how hard it was to find a parking space.
However I did discover my new favorite store. Slightly pricey, but El Quetzal has some pretty fantastic sweaters and scarves. I gave myself an early birthday/Christmas present.
But question, what is the big deal with with Sweetgreen? It's ridiculously expensive and not really that good. I get the sustainability thing (pretty cool actually) but as far as food, I'd rather get salads from Cosi and yogurt from Kiwi. And the line is always so long.
Well, that was my first day back on the Main Line after 3 months at school. It's great to be back home, but Ardmore around the holidays is quite stressful and terrifying. I will be certainly be steering clear of Suburban Square on Friday. Frankly I'm not one for Black Friday shopping anyway, I prefer this new Cyber Monday thing.
So keep submitting and I will keep posting! Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for following!
