DISCOVER: Pop-Rock Band Against Grace Releases New Single ‘Ray Ban Girl’

Against Grace is a new indie pop/rock band hailing from Richmond, Virginia. The band describes their sound as a crossover between Neon Trees and Two Door Cinema Club.That is an accurate depiction. With catchy hooks and refreshing melodies, this band is definitely one to keep an eye on. The guitar and instrumentals alongside the vocals provide some soft rock flavor to their songs and make their music an enjoyable listen for fans of several different genres. Bleachers is one of the first bands that comes to mind when listening to their latest track “Ray Ban Girl,” which continues the sound of their prior singles alongside even better production and an entirely polished sound. This single follows up their Please Don’t Go EP that was released earlier this year and is available to buy or stream on Amazon, Spotify, Itunes, and YouTube.

RELEASE: Worthwhile Drops New Full-Length Album

The San Francisco-based melodic hardcore band have put out their newest album, Old World Harm (via Hopeless Records). This is their first release through the popular label. Sporting a darker sound than their previous album, Carry On Kid (via inVogue Records), this record still features the passionate lyrics, unique sounding vocals, and message of hope that has made them stand out from other bands in the scene. Fans of Hundredth, Counterparts, Trophy Eyes, etc — are sure to fall in love with this piece of work.

The band has also recently released two music videos for the singles “Relentless” and “A Name, Two Dates, and a Phrase.” Be sure to put “buying this album” on your summer to-do list.

NEWS: Terror Drops From The Life & Death Tour

On Monday, hardcore up-and-comers, Terror, made a heavy-hearted announcement via Twitter that they will be dropping from the European Life & Death lineup. Despite their anticipation for the tour, they came to the decision to pull out due to vocalist, Scott Vogel’s, absence for therapy following his back injury. The band stated that he will be back to full strength soon. Before concluding the message, Terror told fans to expect a tour for the new album at the end of the year.

NEWS: Sum 41 Announces First New Record in Four Years

Pop Punk pioneers Sum 41 have announced their first album since 2011′s Screaming Bloody Murder. It will be the first album since lead singer Deryck Whibley’s publicized stint in rehab last year. This announcement comes on the heels of Deryck supporting his side project, Deryck Whibley and the Happiness Machines, as well as a recent tour appearance with Mikey Way from My Chemical Romance. Sum 41 announced that they were fundraising for their new record via a PledgeMusic campaign in hopes to rejuvenate fan interest and support. For a limited time, fans that support the band through this website have exclusive access to limited edition merchandise such as autographed posters, the ability to pre-order the new album, and an opportunity to have a video call with Deryck. This will be the band’s sixth full length studio album and marks nineteen years as a band. The album title has so far not been released.

RELEASE: Man Overboard Debut Music Video For Newest Single “She’s in Pictures”

Man Overboard recently debuted their newest music video from their latest full length LP Heavy Love. The video goes back and forth between showing the band playing and following two “punk” women as they walk around a city. The style of the music video resonates both for pop punk fans (especially those that have seen early Green Day videos) and fans of movies such as Clerks and SLC Punk! This music video serves as a reminder that there are still bands that displace the notion that pop punk is not evolving. Vocally, the band is improving but still has the signature whiny-but-not-annoying style vocals that Blink-182 certainly had pioneered — while the actual music is beginning to progress positively for the band. The video serves to show that songs written about or for a woman can still be just as “pop punk” as ever.

RELEASE: Real Friends Release “Sixteen” Music Video

Real Friends have premiered a music video for their song “Sixteen,” which is off their 2014 album, Maybe This Place Is The Same And We’re Just Changing. Prepare to be sad because this video will hit you right in the feels. 

The video documents the life of a teenager who is celebrating his sixteenth birthday, alone at a bowling alley. The guests never show up and the boy sits by his birthday cake waiting while vocalist, Dan Lambton, is singing along to the song in the background.

NEWS: All Time Low And Sleeping With Sirens Announce US Tour

All Time Low and Sleeping With Sirens have announced their ‘Back To The Future Hearts Tour.’ The tour kicks off on October 9th in Orlando, Florida, and travels through the continental U.S. before coming to a close in New York City on November 24th.

Prior to the U.S. tour, All Time Low will embark on a short Canadian tour in support of their most recent album, Future Hearts — while Sleeping With Sirens will go on their very own Latin American Tour.

NEWS: The Neighbourhood Announce Fall 2015 Tour

The alternative rock band “The Neighbourhood” recently announced nearly twenty-five performance dates for their impending fall tour entitled “The Flood Tour”. This comes after great success with songs from their debut album such as “Afraid,” and “Sweater Weather,” introducing alternative music into the mainstream. Headed by lead vocalist Jesse Rutherford, the LA-based band announced on twitter in June, a series of tour dates starting in mid September and ending October 30th. Two bands have been announced to be joining them on their fall tour dates in the United States: Bad Suns and Hunny.

Last year, they fused their own alternative style with an experimental mixtape (  #000000 & #FFFFFF) that brought together hip hop artists alongside them to create a new sound. It circulated widely on the internet before being released on Itunes. For the most part, it appears that they will be performing hits from their hit album I Love You — Released in 2013, but topped the charts in early to mid 2014 with several of their singles peaking on alternative radio.

NEWS: No Devotion Announce Release Date For Debut Album “Permanence”

It’s been 14 months since former Lostprophets members Lee Gaze, Mike Lewis, Stuart Richardson, Jamie Oliver & United Nations/Thursday frontman Geoff Ricky announced a return to the musical forefront with No Devotion.

Within this time, the band has released tracks including Stay/Eyeshadow & 10,000 Summers all through Rickly’s Collect Records label which have achieved an amazing response from fans & industry alike.

What followed was a few low-key live dates around the UK, followed by a return to the larger stages supporting My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way — on his solo tour of the UK in January this year.

Sept 25th, 2015, will see the release of debut album Permanence. Mixed by Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, MGMT) and produced by Stuart Richardson and Alex Newport (The Mars Volta), the album promises to refine the beauty of nostalgic pop-noir with a new exciting, aggressive, melodic sound — which meets at the “intersection of post-punk heart and contemporary tricknology.”

NEWS: The Front Bottoms Join The Fueled By Ramen Family

On June 22nd, The Front Bottoms surprised their New York fans with a special announcement, and two new songs at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn. As of recent, the New Jersey-natives are parting ways with Bar/None Records, and have been signed to the notable label, Fueled By Ramen. Joining the Fueled By Ramen family puts The Front Bottoms alongside breakout bands, Twenty One Pilots, and Panic! At The Disco. The new singles, “West Virginia” and “Cough It Out”, give fans a sneak peek at the evolution of their down-to-earth, punk-indie concoction — with lyrics that never cease to hit home. Both official music videos were first released on their YouTube channel, but are now available on iTunes. Though the campaign for the new album is mostly a mystery, it’s rumored to be due this fall.
