Adding aggressive plants to the world

Some are natural, but a lot are juiced up from magic and potions seeping into the soil due to improper magic usage out in the wilderness

They are not hungry for people for food reasons, kinda just hungry for more magic (which they know people happen to have sometimes) which is what makes them act like man-eating plants

They are new to the ecosystem like an invasive species, so the local animals got out of there, which is why pink sabercat is an invasive species elsewhere :3
