Caliente Household: Year 1, Round 1 - Spring
Dina fulfilled her want of getting married to a rich Sim by tying the knot with Mortimer on the sidewalk, just as the scripted event suggested. They moved into a mansion together and booked a vacation to Takemizu Village, but the honeymoon was a disaster. All Dina wanted to do was use the sauna and get massages, while Mortimer was only interested in drinking tea and tending the zen garden, so they were constantly going their separate ways. Also, they weren't following my commands, so I was really struggling to keep their needs high enough.
When I finally got them to sit down for a meal at a restaurant, a local stole Mortimer's food! When he ordered another, it never came, and he had to settle for a snack from a vending machine. The next morning, they ordered breakfast at their hotel's restaurant, but the waiter dropped the plate of food on Dina! And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, Dina got her period, making it even harder for me to manage her needs.
Despite everything, Mortimer wanted to go on a historic walking tour, and Dina (probably reluctantly) agreed. They ended up losing the tour guide but decided to wait at the bus, which earned them a charisma point - the only good thing that happened on the trip so far.
After waking up the next morning, they had a huge fight. They fell out of love and were furious with each other, so Dina left Mortimer at the hotel and went out to collect vacation mementos all by herself. Even though she got pickpocketed by the Unsavory Charlatan, she finally had some fun: she learned the local gesture and even learned to teleport from a ninja. While digging for treasure maps, she found two treasure chests worth 10,000 Simoleons instead! Seems like Mortimer was bringing the bad luck lol. Since they were still furious with each other, he had to sleep on a couch at the reception.
On the last day of the vacation, Dina finally found the map to the secret lot, and since their anger had decreased a bit, they visited it together. I didn't know that tossing a coin into the decorative well did anything, but Mortimer got 1,000 Simoleons for it! And that was it, because the Wise Old Man was bugged, so they couldn't hear the legend from him.
After arriving home, their fighting continued and Dina had enough. She locked Mortimer in an empty room... Whoops. I feel bad for him, but this seems like exactly how Dina would handle the problem. She probably planned to do this all along.
While Mortimer was starving to death, Dina went out to look for another rich victim husband. She met Connor Weir and Ramir Patel from Belladonna Cove, both of whom she has two bolts of chemistry with. She went on a couple of dates with Connor since Ramir is married. Connor played hard to get, but eventually they fell in love. Meanwhile, poor Mortimer passed away and Dina fake-cried a little. She also fulfilled her gold digger Lifetime Want!
After Mortimer's "unexpected" death, she asked Connor to move in and go steady with her. Since he's a Family Sim, he already wants to get engaged to Dina, so I bet they'll be having babies soon!
In the meantime, Dina opened a home business: her very own flower shop. She doesn't make much money from it, so she definitely still needs a rich husband lol. Connor works in the Business career, so hopefully he will bring in the bucks.
