the amazing digital circus is a show about empathy and what it does to you if you go too long without a support system so the show starts with sympathizing with Pomni (the most empathetic person, easy), ep2 is empathizing with an NPC in a game (no flaws), ep3 is empathizing with a man who has dementia, ep4 is empathizing with someone who annoys you when they're unmasking, ep5 is asking you to empathize with a rich white woman and so on....
so it all works up to the empathy boss - a bush era edgelord millenial trans girl who thinks she's Max from Sam & Max and is inherently unworthy of love
currently at the clinic for gays and there was a couple radiant trans women in the waiting room and I feel like a little girl around them i am so so so
I know it's been a good minute, but I decided to write some more. This one is more Murder Drones focused.
Word count: 380 (I know these are all short, but they're fun, and a good few of you seem to love these)
Uzi awoke early. Her room was dark. The Circus Tent was dead quiet.
It had been a few days since the group arrived. Uzi found herself getting along well with Zooble. N adored Ragatha and Pomni. Jax kept his distance from the Disassembly Drone after the first day's incident. Cyn found peace in drawing with Gangle. And the Absolute Solver, when not causing chaos, would search for Kinger and spend time with him in his pillow fort.
"Miss Doorman?" A little voice spoke from outside.
Cyn. Uzi got up and opened the door for her. From the corner of the room, the Absolute Solver's eyes locked on the little drone.
"Can I stay with you until Big Brother wakes up?" Cyn asked.
"Well... Alright..." Uzi sighed. "But only until then."
Cyn stepped in and settled on Uzi's bed. Uzi shut the door, plunging the room back into darkness. The only light came from the two Drone's visors and the glowing eyes of the Absolute Solver.
"I am sorry..." Cyn muttered. "I lost myself... It was too strong..."
"I know." Uzi said as she sat beside her. "This is my first time seeing the real you, but I can already tell that you're not so bad."
Cyn reached over to the Absolute Solver. It scooted closer and let its abstracted form be stroked by its former host. In the dark, it was completely docile.
"Petting." Cyn narrated. "You are a real nightmare..."
The eldritch intelligence growled but stayed against Cyn's hand. Uzi could only guess how the others outside the Circus were doing without it. Her mom. V and J. Were they alright? As far as she could tell, her mom was being kept alive by the thing. She couldn't be... dead... could she...?
"You in here, Cyn?"
Cyn perked up at N's voice. She rushed to the door, opened it, and threw herself right into his arms. The sweet display immediately distracted Uzi from her horrible thoughts.
"Thanks for looking after her, baby bat." How long had it been since N called her that...? (Well, that rhymes)
The two left, N starting up a conversation with his little sister. But... before they even left Uzi's sight, all of them were teleported to the stage.
some project sekai fans would have a much more interesting time interacting with the game if they simply understood that friendships also have an inherent value !!
like yeah, okay, the mizuena "i want to be with you" sounds romantic. sure. whatever. but why does that have to be romantic? why can't we have in depth discussions about what the simple act of having a friend means for both mizuki and ena? why does it have to be "i want to be in a romantic relationship with you" and not "i want you to remain my dear friend because you reshaped my view of the world"? or for mizuki, "i want you to stay my friend because you make me feel like i deserve to have a friend"?
yeah, minori has a crush on haruka, we all know that. but why does minori's character have to be watered down to a haruka simp? why does it have to be "i love you because i'm in love with you" and not "i love you because you made me realize that i can be something more than the bad luck i was given"? or for haruka, "i love you because you love me enough to see past the idolized vision you had of me in your head"?
akito and toya covered aun no beats during pride month but why why why can't we focus on something other than the fact that they're gay. why can't it be "i trust you more than anything because you are the reason i'm the person that i am today"? why not "if not for you i would have given up a long time ago"?
or rui and tsukasa? "thank you for giving the opportunity to change" is just so. so so important. why should it be strictly romantic and not "i love you because you shook everything up and i'm no longer stagnating and alone"? "you made me realize that i have to consider that other people care for me and that i impact them"?
i feel like this isn't such a problem with leo/need because they're so underrated (at least in the western fandom) and since their dynamic is FOUNDED on friendship specifically, but i still want to see less of "ichisaki and shihonami lesbians" and more of "they know each other so well that they are practically extensions of each other" and "they love each other so much that they are always worried that they're hurting the others".
please for 1 second think that maybe shipping isn't the end all be all of relationships. maybe they don't have to be kissing, maybe they can just know and love and understand each other.

for the record people who try to “scold me” over this or try and argue I am just going to block. you don’t have to agree with me but know I do find it odd but im also too grown to be having arguments on literal tickle tumblr 😭😭 but know that seeing sfw content of women and automatically being uncomfortable bc you see it as sexual is odd. you can have your preferences and strictly like male lees, idc, but I do find it odd how woman are automatically sexualized in the most sfw positions. thanks.

ofc! i just find it very very odd people do not find how misogynistic it is to see a woman in a pose that IS NOT sexual and automatically reduce it to it being sexual. it’s so insane how people can just get past saying that and why that same logic doesn’t apply to men bc a lot of the time.
