I just think it’s very impressive how in my official 30 years of life I have never EVER witnessed an instance of “sexuality is fluid uwu” discourse that didn’t focus on how lesbians can and will like men.
At most I’ve witnessed instances of “it’s okay if you like [trans person of the gender you’ve always been attracted to], everyone’s a little bi uwu”, but I’ve definitely never once EVER seen this whole shit focusing on gay men liking women.
The few cases in which if you squint hard enough you miiiiiiight be able to find cases in which it’s arguing for someone other than lesbians experiencing attractions outside of their self-realized sexual identity, it’s done to cishets and it’s almost NEVER in the tone of “You might be bisexual after all!”, it’s always in the tone of “So what if you do experience a little bit of gay attraction? Everyone’s a little bi which is to say no one’s really bi unless it’s to bring lesbians to what we perceive as closer to heterosexuality so don’t worry, you’re still basically straight!”
And I especially have never seen these arguments defending the Purity Of Sexual Fluidity for the case of someone who’s been identifying as bi for a long time but then stops feeling m/w attraction and starts to only feel same gender attraction.
Nope. It’s all to maintain the pressure on lesbians of You’ll like Men Sooner Or Later (Or Else…) or to keep bi people closeted as straight with plausible deniability for their “oopsie doopsie” same gender attractions.
