Hey, do u wanna hear about my new dnd character? Of course u do

Ok, so they are part of a pc duo, with my friend, our characters will be arch-rivals or like nemesis

Here comes tragic backstory, or just really fucking extra and dramatic. Our characters are childhood best friends bonded over felines, and promised to always stick together, in our twenties we met a cowboy, who helps out the town and stays for a while. A duo becomes two. We both fall in love, but promise not to confess. Gay cowboy asks us to move back to the big city with him, saying he sees potential in us. My character stays behind following my life plan that we agreed on. Other pc leaves with gay cowboy. We fight.

And also we both have matching cowboy hats with cat ears.

So here’s my dilhema, what pronouns should I use for my new character? I’m thinking either he/him or like some neopronouns.
