Had a random bit of brainrot last night/today and I drew some squid kids! :o

I was gonna draw 4 too but I couldn’t find a ref of them :(

3 was casually heading to the lighthouse, because its usually the boardwalk thats eventful and theyre tired, okay? unfortunately, under their feet a portal opens, just barely letting them grab the edge, hanging on for dear life.

*luckily for the situation this is regular four, she was actually coming down from the lighthouse with a trail of ink behind her when she spots three, she starts to try and back off because it's been like a year but then she sees three fall and immediately legs it down towards three. Doing a duelie roll when she's closer to reach three quicker and quickly grabs onto their hands, trying her best to pull them up*

3 reaches up to grab both the ledge and 4's arm, to try and pull themself up, but its difficult; the portal feels almost like it has wind sucking you in, but... its not wind, to sum it up. unfortunately, it could be strong enough to lose your footing.

*unfortunately for all involved four is not strong, there's reason she mains duelies and not the roller other then just preference, four's too focused on keeping a grip on three to properly consider her footing and how strong that is so, if mod 3 wants to they can entirely have the two fall into the portal*

mod 3 was going for that, and the duo end up skidding into the portal, 3 losing their grip. after not too much falling, the two land on cool concrete, with semi warm air- the familiar chatter of inklings and several store jingles in the distance. driwned by the noise, an ad can be heard playing on speaker, some seeming to deliberately drown it out.

3 lands on their feet, avoiding slamming their teeth together and hurting their head from doing. not that.

3 starts walking towards a turn in the alleyway they landed in. "wasnt plannin on it, now where....." they trail off, looking around the corner.

*four starts to get up, looking over at three and in turn where she walked over too, before slowly following them, trying to get a glance around the turn without being too close to three*

suprisingly enough, around the corner was inkopolis square, inklings and octolings littering the street. it look slightly different from what 4 knew it as, but 3 seemed to recognize just about every part, down to the ad on the screen.

*she steps more out the alley, trying to get a good look at everything*

"hold on this is. my inkopolis." they gesture annoyed. "i mean did they run the same ad for a year?? come on! we get it, you like cereal!"

a poster blows into the back of 4's heel.

*four's about to respond but then she feels the poster hit her heel and diverts her attention towards that instead, picking it up and having a look at it*

its a missing cephalopod poster- theres a picture of 3 holding up a kraken energy drink, tring to get to the person holding the camera in casual clothes- but unmistakably 3, especially with the scar. apparently they were last seen on the 7th of feburary.

*four pales when she looks over the poster, she slowly reaches out a hand to touch threes shoulder, while also faintly moving the poster towards three*

*almost in an instant when three spoke the weird looking four had quickly faced three pointing her duelies at them before promptly lowering them upon seeing three, the four relaxing her posture as she smiled, her eyes looked a bit weird though, sure they looked similar to four's regular eyes but something was off about them*

*she suddenly stops talking as she takes in what three is wearing*

...okay I do not believe what you are wearing, but anyway! You know where we are? This doesn't look like octo canyon.. or anything really near there.

3 slings their legs over the roof to sit on the edge, cautious but glad they arent getting attacked just yet.

"thats because it isnt- actually im pretty sure octo canyon doesnt even exist here." they put out a finger gun towards princess 4. "welcome to the clutter dimension, a mess of a bunch of universes smashed into one. also theres humans here. and from what i can tell, im not the 3 that you know- especially considering what youre wearing."

they mutter under their breath, "seriously, i thought 4 got cursed or smth.."

*she flips her duelies in her hand, spinning them around and generally being careless with them*

*she smiles again, at first glance you'd probably say it looks sweet and calm but looking closer hints at something more... Chaotic, luckily for three four doesn't quite hear what three muttered*

"anyway, whats up with the knockoff disney princess look?"

*while talking she's messing with her duelies again, twirling them around and occasionally throwing them up before catching them*

"got it, got it; aight i think i get whats going on now." 3 sounds somehow both relieved and frustrated- they seem to switch back to being casual before long, switching from sitting to crouching. "well, since your own introduction was all formal and semi dramatic, i guess mine should be as well." once they finish their sentence, the put a foot over the other, before spinning on it to stand up, their cape flowing as they do so. they have one hand on their hip and the other with two fingers at about their forehead, before pointing it away in a mock salute. "im agent 3 of squidbeak splatoon, nice to meet'cha."

*she asks in a joking manner, a chaotic smile on her face, she watches three do their dramatic introduction but her expression quickly drops into one of shock as three introduces themselves as apart of the squidbeak splatoon, she immediately stops Messing with her duelies and starts holding them tightly, she replaces her expression to that of a poker face, looking neutral to hide the shock*

Wait, really? How warped is your world that you'd decide to join THEM? i mean really, I figured you'd have higher standards no matter the world.

"that depends; how bad are they to you? cuz i mean, i havent really been given any reason to hate them; honestly i dont see your reasons for joining the octarians."

3 sighs, "i get why youd be angry about that, but at this point, octavio is the one trying to continue the war- in fact, plenty of octolings have actually moved to the surface and are living with inklings, like 8." they shift to be sitting down again, dangling their legs. "i do still have a question though- you seem like you have a personal grudge against inklings, more than just octos having to flee underground. id assume i would in that world as well, so what exactly happened that made you hate inklings so much?"

Octolings have gone up to the surface?! Are you kidding me? Is that where all those missing octolings went?! And one of them joined you?!

*she seems quite peeved at that, apparently in her world she never met 8 as princess 4*

We were both abused by inklings, by ones who should of cared, by those who should of helped. All from a young age and nobody helped us and it never got better until king d- until DJ octavio found out and rescued us, we abandoned our names for three and four and were crowned the princesses of the Octarians.

they glanced at the duelies pointed in their direction, n stiffen at 4's words. "i was worried itd be something like that, but never that bad, yeesh..."

they mumble something to themself again, too quiet to hear; all that anyone that isnt 3 could hear was the mention of their scar.

*she looks three dead in the eyes, her eyes still looking just that one bit off*

"well, for one, inklings arent abusive where im from. i mean sure, there are definitely some toxic people, and don't even get me started on those x-rank teams, but all in all people were pretty nice- rude sometimes, but not that bad- i didnt get my head slammed on the pavement or something." they shifted to have their head resting on their hand. "also fuck yeah, the metro sucks."

*almost in an instant when three spoke the weird looking four had quickly faced three pointing her duelies at them before promptly lowering them upon seeing three, the four relaxing her posture as she smiled, her eyes looked a bit weird though, sure they looked similar to four's regular eyes but something was off about them*

*she suddenly stops talking as she takes in what three is wearing*

...okay I do not believe what you are wearing, but anyway! You know where we are? This doesn't look like octo canyon.. or anything really near there.

"thats because it isnt- actually im pretty sure octo canyon doesnt even exist here." they put out a finger gun towards princess 4. "welcome to the clutter dimension, a mess of a bunch of universes smashed into one. also theres humans here. and from what i can tell, im not the 3 that you know- especially considering what youre wearing."

they mutter under their breath, "seriously, i thought 4 got cursed or smth.."

"well, since your own introduction was all formal and semi dramatic, i guess mine should be as well." once they finish their sentence, the put a foot over the other, before spinning on it to stand up, their cape flowing as they do so. they have one hand on their hip and the other with two fingers at about their forehead, before pointing it away in a mock salute. "im agent 3 of squidbeak splatoon, nice to meet'cha."
