Hola, Rotumblr!

My name is Professor Amo (She/her by the way!), I've been the Naranja/Uva Academy's Archeology professor for about two years now (as of 2024) -One of the kids in my class (@trainergraceneedstherapy I KNOW you've been talking about me. Tell Will I said hello!) convinced me to give this whole thing a shot-who knows, with this team nightmare shit going on It may be a good idea, easier to communicate that way if something goes wrong. But if they so much as DARE touch my academy, my classroom, or my students-..well-let's just say I may not battle a lot-but I have the skill to back myself up, and a boot up their ass with THEIR NAME ON IT!

I've lived in Paldea most of my life-..I don't talk to my family much, if you're curious about them-you'll probably find on my record they're champion ranked trainers. Except me, y'know-the family disappointment. But I get along where I am just fine, sneak off to see the ruins occasionally-call it an impromptu field trip!

I guess I should probably make like-a photo of myself or some shit-I'm not good with pictures, It's-a little awkward.

Annnnnd-I guess I should show my teams. One from Here in Paldea, one when I went overseas to check out the ruins in Sinnoh- I love all of them dearly, and they are mis dulces bebes <3 (I know some of you may be a bit shocked seeing Spero. I don't know why the little thing chose me, but-I wound up with it in Sinnoh and I'm not letting the little one go without a fight until they choose to leave.)

I…apologize for the scare. But rest assured, we’re both safe, just-waiting on top of the mountain. And by We-I mean my dear friend and rescuer, @seekeroflegend ! I was admittedly hoping to run into him again while we were here anyways-…though I would have preferred this to be through better circumstances.

[seems like we’re getting very shaky camera footage of-spear pillar. There seems to be hints of a rift still there, albeit much fainter. It’s clear as day, space and time have been affected here.]

“Oh, Mira…” [the professor’s voice comes through-the footage is shaky, but you can see her hand reaching down, picking up the very same bag they’d found yesterday.] “I’m so sorry you got pulled into this…But—“ [the phone points towards the rift-] “…This video is for my students. If-…if I don’t make it back-then-at least they’ll know what happened. At least they’ll-“

[She’s cut off by the sound of-something galloping from the tunnel behind, the one that comes up the mountain-the sound of fire crackling as a massive, blurry red and grey-ish figure pounces above her-the camera dropping as the professor dives away.] ”WOAH—“

[The phone clatters to the ground, pointing towards the sky as we hear the sound of some sort of creature’s howling-and a voice.] ”…Professor? what on earth are you doing up here!?”

“…It’s you…”

Greetings from the Great Marsh!

Hola, my adventurers! Welcome to Pastoria’s great marsh-I believe this is the equivalent of a safari zone in other regions and I can see exactly why! I believe-in the Hisuian Era, this was once known as the Crimson Mirelands-once filled with beautiful golden fields and ruins as far as the eye can see-although that would be more towards the Solaceon area. As for now-well…There’s been a bit of an-incident. [Photo embed: Amo’s boots, absolutely COVERED in mud.]

I had been trying to explore one of the muddier patches to see if I could find anything but-instead, I found a natural pit trap and got stuck! It was-a little embarassing, but I managed to wriggle my way out. I HAVE been seeing some interesting Pokémon here, but seeing as this is a safari zone-you can imagine how well actually CATCHING them has gone…

Hola, everyone! I’ve finally made it back from a WONDERFUL day at lake Valor. I had quite a time riding Karpy out to the cave at the center of the lake and an even grander time exploring it! To think-…I could have been standing in the footsteps of history makers long before me-it’s thrilling, isn’t it? Anyways-I’ve stopped at the Grand Lake Hotel for the night, and I will be heading to Pastoria city next-! Then continue to Hearthome if I have enough time in the day-

Hola, Everyone! I’m updating you all from the scenic shores of Lake Valor!

I have to say, it is GORGEOUS out here! And as per usual-I’d like to speak a bit about the history of this place before I set off with Karpy to try and sail around the lake for a better view. For a start-as many of you know, the lake is rumored to be the home of Azelf-gaurdian spirit of Willpower according to Sinnoh’s mythology. Though this comes with-a rather horrifying myth about the fate of those who attempt to harm Azelf-growing immobile entirely, unable to move due to having lost all willpower entirely. It is…rather unpleasant, to say the least. According to scientists that have recently surveyed the area-it can also be determined that the cave that supposedly houses the Lake Spirit is-quite a ways younger than many have previously thought, having somehow opened up around the Hisuian period-and from traces of residue across the walls-it can be inferred that this was once the home of a VERY large Hisuian variant of Qwilfish-More specifically, its evolution, Overqwil! It’s said that-the ancient Hisuian hero that helped to complete the original sinnohian pokedex ALSO once came here with their companions in order to stop the space time rift from swallowing Hisui. To think-I could be standing where they once stood-perhaps even the ancient weilder I’ve come to the region to study! History is FASCINATING, don’t you think-?

HOLA, SINNOH!

The plane has FINALLY landed out in Sunnyshore and I am currently writing this as I stand here on the overlapping pathways-Gazing out into the vast horizon. It’s going to be a few days-As Canalave is unfortunately on the exact opposite end of the region. But that’s alright with me- I get to take quite the trip in getting there, and mi corazón is content with taking in the historic sites of this region for myself-oh this is exciting!

If any of you wish to meet me, I’d be more than happy to-especially if you could provide any information about the region’s history! My plan-is to travel west from here to see the coast of lake Valor and possibly make my way out to the lake (Thank Arc I have Karpy!), Then possibly check out Pastoria’s Great Marsh, then up through Hearthome city to see the stained glass inside the church which supposedly depicts events that transpired from the Hisuian era-and of course, I will ABSOLUTELY be heading towards Solaceon and Celestic to check out the ruins at last, Southeast through Eterna City and Floroma town, South to Jubilife City, and finally make my way to Canalave! Alright-I think I should come clean about my discovery. It isn’t worth much being a historian if you don’t share your findings after all-and I believe I’ve discovered something FASCINATING!

So-As many of you may know, pokemon wielders of the ancient times, especially around the Hisuian era, rarely had full teams of six like many trainers do today-whether that be due to lack of the technological advancements we have today or a general distrust of Pokémon up until then-but many wielders, as trainers were referred to back then, often didn’t have full teams-anything ABOVE four was often seen for figures with leadership roles or high status. …Which is Why It’s so fascinating that I’ve only recently uncovered a record of a Pokémon wielder being known to have SIX Pokémon at a time! This anomaly excites me-my curiosity is piqued! Unfortunately whoever they were, history seems to obscure them-but that’s why I’m proud to announce I will be doing all I can to uncover the truth-!
