Please keep in mind Colby and Dale are regular people, who have NO PR teams and who already give up far too much of their privacy. Read the interviews, that's what they are for, but please DON'T ask them about it.

Um, Colby seems to have some MAJOR issues when it comes to Dale:

1) Interview/Podcast with “Piefolk” (Dec 2012). https://soundcloud.com/pariswages/piecast-01-colby-keller During the podcast between ~19:00 to 35:00, Colby & his longtime bf (Karl Marxxx) talk about Colby’s relationship with Dale & their relationship with each other. Dale is not initially named until the interviewer slips up. They talk about Colby being polyamorous with Dale & Karl, with Karl being “unimpressed” by Dale & confused why Colby wanted to be with him. Colby also makes several statements about Dale being resistant to Colby “pushing” him, that it isn’t enough that Dale is “young & smart,” and that Dale would provoke him into arguments. Dale would have been about 24/25 while Colby & Karl were both at least in their early 30s (not sure Karl’s age). Karl comes across like a pretentious douche who is controlling of Colby. Colby seems confused & maybe a little lost.

2) “Pieces of Eight” Begins (Oct 2013). Colby posts on his blog (www.bigshoediaries.blogspot.com) he’s starting an art project clearly based on Dale’s tattoos/ drawings he gave Colby. He talks about having a broken heart & discussing a drawing a month (8 in all). He’s using images that are instantly recognizable as important to Dale (they’re on his body after all!) asking his fans & his support to comment & help him make “sense” of them. Yeah, not invasive. Not at all. And it gets worse….

3) Interview for “The Coastal Post” (May 2014). http://thecoastalpost.tumblr.com/post/88576523477/colbykeller Colby talks about “Pieces of Eight” & why he did it. He talks about being “destroyed” by the ending of his relationship/friendship with Dale (who he doesn’t name but it’s pretty clear). He alludes to using “Pieces of Eight” as his coping mechanism. Only problem? According to Colby, Dale refused to participate & isn’t speaking to him. Colby states that he doesn’t know “why” Dale no longer speaks to him. Colby talks about the “ethics” of doing the project anyway when it’s about Dale’s body but in the end it’s seems like it was more important to him to take care of himself. It came across very almost desperate & attention seeking. Almost violating.

4) Interview in “Next Magazine” (Aug 2014). http://www.nextmagazine.com/content/exclusive-road-interview-colby-keller-colby-does-america-canada-too. Colby discusses more about “Pieces of Eight” including its ending in June 2014. He apparently destroyed all the “creative” output that came from the project. He also states that he collaborated with multiple people & would sequester himself at the end of each month to reflect on each month’s image. Again, these are Dale’s tattoos/drawings. That Colby is inviting others to dissect. He even comments about also thinking that there was more to them during his association with Dale. Again, this comes across very, very unsettling. The interviewer even makes comments about Colby seeming to believe that he has lost a part of himself when his relationship ended with Dale (the interviewer names him but Colby doesn’t).

5) Interview for “Lado Bi” (Nov 2014). Translated by http://i-see-penis.tumblr.com/post/102904175536/lado-bi-interview-part-one-of-four-what-do-you#notes. Colby making numerous negative comments about Dale & their relationship. Again he doesn’t use his name but states that it’s easy to figure out. He describes it as “horrible” & “emotionally destroying.” He alludes to Dale being jealous & becoming an ego maniac. This is more than a year after they stopped talking to each other (according to the start date of “Pieces of eight”). The more time is passing, the more negative & vocal Colby seems to be about what happened with them. He doesn’t seem to have healed or moved on from it. If anything, he seems more desperate to understand what happened & to get Dale’s attention (why else are you talking about this in the media??). Dale is now 27/28 while Colby is 33/34. And Colby is still with Karl Marxxx, even living with him in Brooklyn when he isn’t shooting “ColbyDoesAmerica.”

Meanwhile, Dale doesn’t seem to have said anything negative about their relationship ANYWHERE. When asked about it, he avoids the question or describes them as “not working out.” His blog (www.daledoesporn.com) has multiple entries re: interviews that mention him & Colby & reader art submissions with him & Colby that are dated long past when they would have stopped speaking. His twitter (@DaleDoesPorn) retweets/responds to tweets that reference him & Colby and he never doesn’t seem to include Colby. He even retweeted Colby’s request for IndieGo funding Summer 2014. He’s also mentioned a new bf several times, one who lives in Manhattan & is getting a PhD in a lab science.

PS this is anonymous cause no tumblr of my own. But I like to read others :) also, I have a research PhD so this was really easy for me to put together even though it looks long!

Dale and Colby HUGE falling out??

This saddens me so, but in a recent interview, Colby DEFINITELY  seems to be talking about dale:

"In the middle of all of this, I was going through an emotionally traumatic break up with a close friend of mine. We were lovers; we were boyfriends at one point in time, and he kind of abruptly stopped talking to me. There was no rationale given and I was hurt by it, and I tried to reach out and he completely rejected me. It was difficult for me to process this; we had kind of broken up as boyfriends a year before that and that wasn’t as difficult as him stopping talking to me as a friend. It was awful and hurtful and it destroyed me and I was going through old love letters he had sent me that he would include little drawings and cartoons. In one of the letters he sent some drawings that he had done when he was a teenager that he eventually had tattooed on his body, all these tattoos related to a video game that was meaningful to him. Each of them relates to a certain moral value, obviously those things are problematic; I’m interested in that, because it is a unified conceptual project on his body. It felt like one big artwork. I was always curious about it. I found these [drawings] and it was something I need to address because not only did we have a close sexual relationship but we also worked together in porn. This is the object that helps me to identify with the subject as Colby Keller and I can address a drawing a month and interrogate it and its ethically challenged because I obviously asked him to participate but he is refusing to speak to me."

I can't recall any off the top of my head. I thought he got one in this scene with jack deckard but mostly he just gets it in the mouth...
