A new teacher starts at the local town school, hoping for an easy year after moving from the big city. Unfortunately, she wasn’t prepared for the child of two men who don’t understand kids at all…

I HAVE WRITTEN SO MANY WORDS thanks to @tumbledrylemur and her ridiculous quick prompt. It’s taken over my life.

EXCERPT:

“You shouldn’t have to do that,” Wufei said firmly. “Liangyu will learn to respect the rules set before her.”

“You don’t respect the rules,” Liangyu muttered.

“I’m not seven.”

“Ah, yes, that’s the other thing,” Émilie continued, weakly. “I caught her before she managed to get out of the classroom, and - ah - she used some extremely inappropriate language, and called me…” she trailed off, trying to wonder how to phrase this.

“A fascist fuckwit,” Liangyu offered.

“Duo!”

“Liangyu… ”

“I told you she heard you,” Wufei hissed, glowering at Duo. “You need to think before you speak!”

Laughing nervously, Duo twisted in his seat to look down at his daughter.

“Liangyu,” he said with a conciliatory smile, “honey. What did we say about callin’ people names?”

“That you should do it to their faces, or you’re a chickenshit,” Liangyu recited, obediently. Duo’s smile tightened into a rictus.

“Come on, kid,” he said through gritted teeth, “throw me a bone here.”

Whoops my hand slipped.

Duo and Wufei, chilling in the nice cool currents. Sometimes a nice stream of cold water really blows the cobwebs (or underwater equivalent) away.

I had to take this with my phone camera, so I’m not sure how well it has translated? OH WELL.

Duo is based on a Ninja Lantern Shark which is this ugly mofo that lives super deep under the ocean surface, and is all black with phosphorescent spots on it. I adapted slightly for mer-purposes. Wufei is a betta fish! Thanks to @kangofu-cb for the genius colour scheme suggestion - he is coloured like Shenlong!

She had me over for a lovely time watching half of Gundam Wing last month (…two months ago? when was that. too long, it should happen again)

By date, they both knew the meaning, mainly because Wufei had actually been researching on how to apply for a pet in the colonies. It wasn’t as simple as it was on Earth, especially when the colony was successful in keeping everything well organized. To control pets from turning into pests, the citizens were obligated to apply and even pay a fee included into the purchase of said pet. It was a long and tiresome process, honestly unnecessary. But it was law. This meant that Duo had done all of this in secret, knowing full well that his lover wanted a cat for some time now. (x)

Day 9 - A pairing you wish is canon

Haha, my OTP, I guess. The scenes in Episodes 24 & 25 between them are some of my absolute favorites, but I don’t think that small glimpse makes them canon. But then again canon is not exactly something I’m crazy for. I love pretty much all of the pairings, and I don’t think fan fiction should have to abide by silly guidelines of what is and isn’t correct. It’s all for fun & good times. :)
