While people flock to New York City's Central Park for holiday carriage rides, animal rights activists protest the tradition.
Lets all make a lot of noise, chase carriages, screech at passengers...that should help make the horses feel nice and safe.
Activists who want to banish horse carriages from Central Park are terrorizing the very animals they claim to defend, while also scaring tourists and young children, according to a new lawsuit. Cen…
Another piece on the pending lawsuit. The RARA’s attempts are the real safety issue. Who runs after a moving carriage?! One slip...yikes.
A company that owns Central Park horse carriages went to court Friday in an effort to toss opponents of those rides out of their saddles.
Have you been following the NYC carriage horse debacle? Turns out it’s getting violent. Activists are now harassing patrons, children, parents and drivers alike.

Minnie Lou Jamison driving an “old fashioned Phaeton” carriage on the #UNCG campus in the late 1930s/early 1940s.
Minnie Lou Jamison was one of the students enrolled when the doors of State Normal opened in 1892. In 1896, she accepted a teaching position in the home economics department. Her extension work and her volunteer work during WWI made her much beloved on campus and across North Carolina. Sketch design of a wagon from my made-up town, Clover Vale. I’m just making up a random human town to fit into WoW for right now, because that’s fun and I like it.
The wagon has cargo space on top of it, and a canvas cover. There’s a glass lamp hanging from the top in the shape of a red clover, as well as windows and doors decorated with clover motifs. Every so often, a few of these wagons travel to larger cities to peddle the local goods from Clover Vale, and when they return, they divide the earnings among contributing parties. As the tiny mountain village sees very little traffic, this is the only way they ever reach the outside world.

Those of us who work with purebred dogs are already aware of the push to eliminate purposely bred domesticated animals by the animal rights abolitionists.
