Let me just point out how incredible this scene is. When Crosbie is announced as the evicted member of the house, Lynda and Strood don’t even take a second to celebrate the fact that they’re not going to die. They just immediately begin to comfort her because they know how scared and unlucky she is. There’s no greed here and neither of them are even slightly grateful that their lives have been spared. This is why season one is the best.

I loved the 9th doctor, so I’m sad Mr. Eccleston had a bad enough experience filming that he quit after only one season and even declined to appear in the 50th anniversary special.
