So on 05/30, we found out that Kring (k-slackinn) couldn’t be at the #TTBOD of the summer. She had a family trip that weekend and couldn’t make it. She told me she’d make it happen, but I know how important family is, so I never counted on it. After 15 days of sadness, I finally got my mind set for Kring (my best friend) not to be there. It took 15 days of “I can’t believe you’re not going” for my mind to be ready for this. 15 DAYS!
That night I’m just chilling on my bed reading my book watching Abby (abbycadabby) “clean” her room. It’s past 9 and i’m still in my pjs and really contemplating on moving. Kring sporadically texts me if i’m “partying yet” “drunk yet?” “you’re really not going??”.
I finally finished my book and got dressed with this mentality that I won’t see my best friend there. AND THEN IT HAPPENED.
At 10:05PM, I got a snapchat of these two beautiful good looking people, but one good looking person, in particular, caught my attention. Abby and I are staring at the snapchat and when I noticed the good looking person, I waited for Abby to say the thoughts that were exactly in my head. But Abby was in just as much shock as I was to even notice…but a few seconds later she goes… “IS THAT KRING?!”
AND THERE’S THE CONFIRMATION! I ran out of the house so mad and upset! I mean, she didn’t tell me she was going! Oh that 5 minute ride full of anger. I mean, let me remind you the 15 days of AGONY we had to go thru to get our minds ready. I thought I was going to party with 50% of me that night because my other half wasn’t there. 15 DAYS OF PREPARATION!
So I show up at the party, only saying hi to those who were supposed to be there (aka not kring). I got a plate of food, sat down, and expressed my anger to a few friends. They were telling me things like “but she’s here now!”, “she just wanted to surprise you” etc etc. Fists were forming and expressive interjections were being thrown. I just needed a way to convey my feelings for those few minutes before confronting her.
As I’m eating my food, someone comes up from behind and gives me a big hug. Boy she’s so lucky I like her LOL.
Yes, this blog was necessary because that was 15 FREAKIN’ DAYS KRING. The sadness could not be more real, but I love you for making it happen and I love the surprise. Two surprises in one week is too much. Thank you <3
