The hum of exhilaration in the surrounding area was almost palpable. The bodies moved through the small crowds, people were pressing against one another, others attempting to dance while some just sat at random tables at the outskirts of the prom. Their eyes watching each other, pushing more of the rumors through the crowds as the men split once in the doors. Now he was on his own, his brother and cousin preoccupied, the other cousin gone off on his own it seemed. Leaving one Dhouti very alone, thoughtful as he watched the people buzz along. Watched as girls practically purred over his brother, watched as boys seemed to seethe but were too weary to actually approach the small shows. But none of it mattered, not when the one getting the looks seemed more oblivious to the advances or he was just blatantly ignoring them.

All at once her night was lit up with stars, bright flashing bursts of white lights exploding in her eyes, making Nephi’s lashes flutter with a  slight discomfort, nose scrunching as her bright green gaze moved to a sheepish looking girl who was already fiddling with her phone to turn off the flash. The excitement was still clear to see under the fear of upsetting one of the School’s queens, and Nephi watched, a light, distant amusement drifting over her as she watched the flushed faces of friends taking pictures as the music played in the background, a low bumping bass that threaded through her veins and called to her, made her desire to move and twist and dance, but she refused, turning away from the dance floor to look for her own friends.

Dulche watched with a smirk on her lips as the ‘judge’ behind the grand wall sighed, his hands moving to soothe back white hair that could have easily been hidden by a good dye job. Those fingers sliding down wrinkles that she did not even think a vampire should have. Brown eyes paused on the motions when those eyes locked onto her again, his mouth opening so that those wrinkles that caught her attention sagged, and she could not help but scrunch her nose at the sight, blonde locks falling around her as she leaned forward.

She did not want to admit it, did not want to say it had actually happened but she could feel as she pressed her cheek closer to the warmth of those fingertips. A shiver running up the length of her spine in the same moment the little whine of desperation escaped her lips, those fingers moving to pull the gag from her lips. She wanted to say it had been so long since she had felt any affectionate contact, that was why she let her captor touch her so softly. That she missed the connection between another person and herself that did not bring the pain filled side effects.
