fever anon: calrifying that It's not a high fever at all, a temperature would be a better definition, it's only around 37c at most (not even that rn), but I do feel a bit dizzy?
If you feel you need to seek medical help, then seek medical help. This is not an emergency services help chat.
This monday I gave myself a pretty big snp. I knew what I was doing, it wasn't my first one either, I used tattoo ink and a sterilized needle that I threw away after, I cleaned and disinfected my skin first and the tattoo after, aside from when I was doing it it never hurt, it never got red, or swollen, or itchy, or anything of the sort, and it's in top perfect shape, yet I'm running a fever and my mom is convinced I've given myself an infection. Is it a coincidence?
Your mom is rightly concerned that you wounded yourself on purpose because she probably doesn’t empathize with your motivation. Hope you didn’t die.
Is there any way to make stick and poke tattoos look smoother like professional tattoos
Practice, practice, practice. Practice.
How common are stick n poke infections? Does it happen often?
To answer that question with accuracy I’d have to do or find a study dealing with that medically. I ain’t a doctor and I don’t think there’s a burgeoning demand for such a thing. Here’s a link to basic information on superficial wound care, which is all we’re really talking about here.

Sorry if this bothers you but i've got a few questions (i haven't done stick and poke yet but i want to and have been reading up a little) 1. Can you practice stick and poke? Like with bananas? 2. How often do you need to do touch ups in the long run (every year or) I tried to find answers for these but i either couldnt find a lot or ppl had diverse opinions. sorry for possible bad english (not a native speaker) and a big thanks if you dont mind helping a newbie out (lol)
It’s always a great idea to practice, to warm up, to get comfortable with your tools before starting a major project. Just in life. So yeah. Do that.
As far as touch ups, see how it looks when it heals and adjust as necessary. Every skin/ ink combination is different. I have a diy tattoo on the inside of my ring finger that I’ve had for 13 years. It’s still legible and about 2 shades lighter than when I put it on. A friend of mine has a tattoo in the same place (all the way around the finger) done with a machine and she’s had to have ink put back in it every few years (mostly just on the top and bottom surfaces) since she had it done.
These are all so shakey lmao
Shakey Graves is a great band.
