(Sorry I was asleep when you requested this.)Tommy and Kate sat in her apartment with dozens of wine bottles with the labels covered. They each had one glass to taste and guess the wine. Kate pours a deep red wine in their glasses. Tommy takes his glass and sniffs the liquid, he takes in the black cherry scent, with a hint of bell peppers, and smiles. Kate sniffs at her wine, displeased by the smell. Her nose wrinkles and she sighs. “I thought this would be fun.”Tommy laughs, “Oh, it’s going to be. But only for me.” He sips his wine, and contemplates the flat, astringent taste. He can taste fresh cherries and blackberries. With another sip he tells it’s not very rich or firm. “I know what this is,” he grins.Kate sets her empty glass down, “Oh really?”He nods, “A 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile. Well picked.” Tommy winks at her.Kate uncovers the label, her jaw drops. “Yeah, that’s exactly what it is. How did you know?”Tommy shrugs with a smug smirk, and downs the rest of his glass. “Next one.”“I think you missed your calling.”Tommy points his empty glasses to another bottle of wine, wanting to show off more. Kate obliges, but only pouring herself a glass of a different wine. She drinks her glass, “What wine did I just drink?” Kate leans across the table so her mouth hovers over Tommy’s. “I want you to describe the taste to me.”Tommy cups his hand around her head and presses their lips together, he swirls her tongue around her mouth. He breaks the kiss, “You taste- I mean, the wine tastes sweet, but spicy, maybe a bit tart? Cranberries, boysenberries, raspberries and some cinnamon. Black pepper? It’s good, really good.” They kiss again, with more intensity, unaware of the noises they’re making. Another break. “Dusky? I can’t tell, maybe sweet thyme. It’s Zinfandel, possibly from 2001. California.”“You somehow make wine tasting hot.”“No, that’s the Zinfandel,” he kisses her again.
