Return To Cringe

After a 4 year long break I have returned to cringe at myself and I don’t know. That’s as far as my plan got me.

Today was the first time actually PLAYING DND. Rolling dice and getting a choice in where to go in the story and such. My party spent most of the first hour betting on arm wrestling and winning. Then got back on track and ended up on a boat. So I climbed into the crows nest. I don’t know why exactly I did it. It just sounded interesting. Then we did some investigating and some combat. One of our prizes is a cape of billowing. I took it and immediately climbed back to the crows nest the next time we had to board and made my cape billow. Now I’m realizing: I built my wood elf character so I could get a wolf buddy. I have a trophy of an animal I killed….what if that was a SKIN a large skin and I spend time making it into a harness so I can climb WITH my wolf friend??? I feel I have to float the idea to the dm….

I AM SO GLAD IM NOT THE ONLY ONE!!!!! Ok so I have a friend. She has a boyfriend (ew) but she talks about him like he hung the fucking moon! Every time I’ve seen him….he’s a bitch faced insecure ass looking bitch. Maybe that’s just the way he looks? But then tonight:

She’s created this DND world for us and is introducing us to it and the session is supposed to be until 10 pm but he pulls up about 9:15 taking her by surprise and she was PLEASANTLY surprised. But then he went to get a beer for himself and her. All good. On her tab. Ok not the worst thing. Then her proceeds to pace and stand at the other end of the table or behind her while she finishes everything up with this DND session while stealing sips from BOTH her beers and chugging on his own? Oh right: she still had half a beer. Yeah maybe she wouldn’t have finished it but still stealing sips from her new beer?

She ALSO was going from this DND group to ANOTHER DND group so it’s not like he was there to give her a ride home and between the 2 of them I’d trust her more to drive after how he basically had 2 beers in the maybe 30 minutes he’d been there. He left and I mentioned to her coworker that I think he hates me (I made a joke about how she drinks for free on DND nights because I’d been planning to buy her next beer and then closed her whole tab out - including his beer) and her coworker said “I think he hates everyone”.

He’s also a Christian who hid that from her until they lived together. I just see red flags from him. But I’m just glad it’s not me.

There’s a kitten in my room and I just can’t with it. It’s black and white with a white v with the point on their head and they have a black tear drop shape around their nose. They also have white tips to their little ears and something about their face makes them look like a muppet…I’ve named it muppet… Also momma cat went and got the grey kitten and just flopped it down near Muppet in a very ungentle way and then picked Muppet up and beat her on every nearby object… She’s trying her best.
