Sometimes I’m so “???” About this current political landscape. I’m imagining being super old and doing an interview while a young kid asks me about the 2020’s and I go “well. Imagine you’re suddenly 4x as poor as you used to be while everything costs 4x as much, all the politicians in power desperately want to kill you, friends and family are being duped and tricked by cults left and right. If it’s not that they’re falling for whatever new bullshit the tech bros are trying to sell like AI or cybertrucks. All the worst people are constantly trying to trick others into thinking they can fix their lives by attacking like crabs in a bucket. And the “we’re living in a golden age of television” attitude of the 2010’s has been replaced with “all the companies are killing the best shows after one season” so there isn’t even anything good to watch anymore to distract from all of the garbage”
