Today, June 1, 2012, would have been Marilyn Monroe's 86th birthday. Fifty years ago today, Marilyn celebrated her 36th birthday on the set of Something's Got to Give. The cast bought her a cake and everyone signed a birthday card. It would be the last time she would ever appear on a movie set. Sixty-five days later, on August 5th, 1962, Marilyn Monroe was found dead at her home in Los Angeles. Something's Got to Give would remain unfinished.

"Death must be so beautiful. To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grasses waving above one's head. To have no yesterday, and no tomorrow. To forget time, to forget life. To be at peace."
"Well, now you know that there was a man named Jack Dawson, and that he saved me. In every way that a person can be saved. I don't even have a picture of him... He exists now, only in my memory."
"I'll be writing until I can't write anymore. It's a compulsion with me. I love writing." - Jo Rowling
"Everyone knows you can't make a living at writing, right? So why do something that's so impractical?" - Stephanie Meyer
The time is now 6:47 BST, 5:47 GMT. One hundred years ago to this very minute, the RMS Titanic was engulfed by the Atlantic Ocean two hours and forty minutes after she struck an iceberg.
At 11:40pm on April 14th, 1912, the RMS Titanic collided with an iceberg, causing the ship to founder in the North Atlantic. After almost three hours, Titanic disappeared into the depths of the Atlantic at 2:20am, April 15th, 1912. There were 2,224 souls onboard, of which 1,514 died, making the sinking of the RMS Titanic one of the deadliest maritime disasters in history.
I should think you'd welcome death. You know, the last of your kind, all your friends dead, hunted wherever you go...
Do you delight in reminding me? Yes, knight, I do long for death, but... Fear it.
Why? Aside from your misery, what's to lose?
My soul.
Fun day today. I went to the movies and got punched in the face saw Titanic in 3D.
One hundred years ago today, the RMS Titanic left Southampton at 12 noon and began its maiden voyage with 922 passengers on-board. Four hours later, Titanic docked in Cherbourg and a further 274 passengers boarded the ship. At 8:00pm, Titanic set sail once more, bound for Queenstown, Ireland.
