That's a tricky one...I'm caught between misshitsu no hisoka na hoshi (for the dyanmic duo, they're cute) and hibari no asa (the dark premise but eerie realism). Oh and no need to rush with the tutorials, i don't mind the wait. You do you boo. 💜
Excellent choices there ;) I’m quite surprised you picked Hibari no Asa, though I love it too. You can feel Yamashita-sensei’s anger permeating through the work. It’s poignant and haunting.
I looove everything by Yamashita Tomoko (BL and non-BL alike) and Amagakure Gido (her characters are so cute and broken, and their struggle to overcome their doubts/darker selves is just endearing) -- oh! I definitely can’t forget Akahoshi Jake’s (still got a lot of unfinished raws in my laptop)...
Hoo boy, there are still a looot of their untranslated works out there, and I definitely want to dip my hands all over them if I’m still in the game, but I’ll be sticking to work on the tutorials instead (at a later date ;D ). And once they’re all posted, I’ll see if anyone’s up to take up my unfinished projects.

Oh man, truth is, I really, really, really wanted to release this on Valentine’s day, or, knowing me, a late V-day release (at the very least!). But now it’s a week later and even on my retirement I still haven’t learn a decent time management. *cri* What’s more, this volume is also finished last week, but because it’s my last personal project, I just got a bit petty to finish up this silly questionnaire for you readers, but given my busy time (and things are rather tough at home too), I should’ve known better. ^^;;

And also, you might be wondering “Why the tracks?”. Tbh, I didn’t plan that at all, but as the Extra/Epilogues are titled “Side: Ukai” and “Side: Chika” in the original, and because of the meaning of their name/nickname. Hence, the song tracks on Side A and Side B.

Yeah, I absolutely love Yamashita Tomoko’s works (all genres) and I’m so glad to be able to work on at least one title of hers. There’s a lot of josei and seinen titles from her that not many people know yet, and I just hope that they get picked up by other (excellent) groups, or better yet, have a proper licensed english release. If I still have the time, I’d love, love, love to work on Snip, Snails & Dog Tails (almost, but someone got there before me) and also Hanaizawa-chou Kouminkan-dayori (seriously brilliant). But, yeah, sadly I’m going to have to let this go.

But what saddens me is that this is the [untold/hidden/repressed] story of millions of women out there. Hushed by society, all over this goddamn world. And what angers me is society's shallow view and hurtful attitude of the topics of abuse like this, like it's nothing and that women should just accept their biology and lie back and let their bodies plundered and voices muffled. It's still a hard fact that most people are still self-righteous bastards, muddled with misplaced apathy and hypocrisy. Yamashita-sensei's anger shines through in this masterful story. She has every right to be pissed off.

That said, I still have another end year release underway, and two djs & two titles to be indefinitely released in January. So yeah, due to work's craziness this month, I'm postponing my retirement until next month…I just hope to myself that I won't postpone again.
Okay, so, just a bit of [official] announcement, I'll be retiring from scanlation by the end of December 2018. Or, if work got super hectic (as usual), I'll retire by January 2019 instead.
The main reason is because I'm going to focus on creating my own story, content and art. I've always wanted to be a creator and that's something that I've put on hold for a very long time, ever since I started scanlating 4 years ago. During these years, I've gained lots of valuable experiences from scanlating, and now will be the perfect time to wrap up everything, leave and prep myself for the future.
I started my first scanlation with Megchan back in January 2015. I was hooked up like mad on their project Himegoto - Juukyuusai no Seifuku, and they happened to need a cleaner/typesetter, I jumped in (even though I have no prior scanlating experience) and that was it. :p
During and after Himegoto, I keep finding interesting projects and work on them with Megchan, and so my experience as a scanlator grew. Mid-2017, I started picking up other interesting projects outside Megchan - mostly Conan djs with Shukumei no Rivals and BLs with other collaborators. I was suggested to make my own scanlation blog to host those projects, but I was dragging my feet, because I felt too lazy to update blogs. Funny thing was, as my hunger for more projects grew, there's also this tiny bud of desire to…retire.
After quite some time of feet-dragging, I finally made this fugaciousfella./[ff.] blog in order to collaborate with others as well as work on my own projects. But even then, right from the start, the thought of retiring has always been on my mind. I really wanted to work on this interesting titles but I would rather not stay too long, and I know sooner or later I'm gonna have to retire anyway, hence the name "fugacious". This is also my secondary blog btw, reserved just for scanlation [while my main blog remains empty as heck xD].
But this blog won’t disappear [ unless new Tumblr Policies get to me first - yeaaah… Imma have to work on that soon, too. Eeeeek! ], and I won’t be completely gone either, at least until after January, as I still have 6 titles I need to finish : 2 with Megchan, 2 BLs and 2 Conan djs (explicit). And to wrap them all up before December ends would require a fucking miracle.
There are actually 3 more BL titles by Akahoshi Jake that I really wanna work on, but I’m gonna have to let them go [ I’m so sorry anon. I know you’re the one who gave me those Akahoshi Jake’s raws, hoping that I’ll work on them, but I could only manage to do one title after all :’( ]. I still have the raws half-cleaned though, so if another group’s interested, they can come and Ask me off anon, and I can give them the cleaned raws.

Yeah… I’ve told Megchan a few months earlier that I’ll retire by the end of December 2018 [ or January 2019 – in case I don’t wrap up my remaining 6 projects ], as I’m going to work on my own story and arts. It is something that I’ve put on hold for a very long time, and it just won’t do if I’m still on scanlation. :’(
Also, Roji is just... cluelessly cool. See that emphasize? xD
Oh man, I almost forgot about this one. Turns out Megchan’s finished this one too. xD But I couldn’t make the post earlier like I hope I could, because THE! TRAFFIC! HERE! IS! HAIR-PULLINGLY! NUTS!!! orz....

Ghhhhhh… If I could pick, I'd much prefer Mame to be thrivingly single, and not to attach herself with another person she's (imo) not even sure with when her twenty-long-years of unrequited love (who can suck itself btw xD) wants to go back being childhood friends/neighbors with her, and just… leave them all, and travel, see the world, meet new people.
And what about her suitors? Well, Kawada can end up with Souta for all I care, I mean, c'mon. Just look at them. Awkward rivals turn *ahem* is a thing, right? ;3c

Anyways, this'll be the last Koiiji chapter I'm working on, as I'll be retiring from scanlation by next year. So, thank you so much Megchan for involving me with this simple yet engaging story, I’m so glad I could work on it with you. I hope for the best for future Koiiji releases. ^^
And so, with November on hiatus, I've only got one month left, even though I've still got 5 more titles to work on! [And they're all BL] Though, realistically, if I could pull off releasing two titles before December ends, that'd be a miracle. But I’ll worry once I get there.

Wow, that sounds lazy of me (maybe because I'm currently at work too), but I dunno why, the chapter is just reminiscent of Franz Ferdinand's "Darts of Pleasure" to me for some reason. The only big difference is that while the song's about being flirty and seductive, this story is the complete opposite. With almost everyone's situation (especially Michika and Hibari) being gloomy and sorta morbid, because of the words (or rumors) that have been spout out so leisurely regarding Hibari, so... x(
Anyways, with me on hiatus on November, there'll be no Hibari updates, but we'll have a double Hibari release on December.

Akunin wo Nakaseru Houhou was among the first BLs that I read 3 years ago, and I fell in love with it in an instant. Not usually I can find a BL with a good story. And the characters, their struggles and pain, while quirky at times, felt real to me (except YOU, Yuzuru. How I effin’ wish I have your talent in money-making. GAH!!) and it’s just so endearing unlike most BL I read. I could name a list of titles and BL mangakas that are good, and Akunin made my top 10 list. ;)
Knowing there was a sequel: Warudakumi ni mo Hana wa Furu (and the prequel: Koi Made Hyakurin, which I knew way later actually xD), like a lot of other readers, I was actively searching for it and look for any updates from the previous groups: Ichinko Scans & Girls Generation Scans. Until this post, so far only the prologue and the first chapter are out. And years later, with no news nor updates from the group, Warudakumi was discontinued.
I was fortunate to get a high quality scan of Warudakumi (by my unnamed source) a year ago. Though I was enthusiastic to work on it, I was hesitant at first, because who knows if it’s still being worked on by Ichinko. But after I went to made sure (as well as other people telling me me about it), I can say that the group has now sadly dissolved.
[ Or is it? After all this time, I’m still unsure tbh. Please tell me if I’m wrong. And please forgive me. ]
So I finally decided to pick this up, with my frequent collaborator, Megchan, as the translator. After a couple of months later, here it is! ^^ My endless thanks to Megchan for helping me finish this volume with their fun translation. First, Free Kisses, then help proofing two more of Amagakure-sensei’s BL works, and now, it’s Warudakumi. I seriously can’t thank you enough, and I think I’ve corrupted you already. LoL xD *the devil bluuushes*
That being said, I hope that this Warudakumi release on our blogs doesn’t offend anyone or any groups, or even members of Ichinko Scans & GGS. But if we do offend you, we’re so sorry, and should anyone ask us to take this version down, I wouldn’t mind at all. After all, I thank you for bringing out Akunin to my attention.

SENRO-BIROI HASHIRU. | ALONG THE TRACKS.
This is an extra story featuring Takao’s high school friend Kijima (who he almost slept with back in Akunin) and a young college student during subway rides.
I don’t mean to bring anyone’s hopes down, but...while I said I love sensei’s stories, this one is a bit...rushed, so to speak. And...tbh, I find it really, really, really hard to believe Kijima. Maybe it’s written as a padding to conclude the series, but I guess this is one of sensei’s weaker works. But in a way, it’s still pretty cute. ;)

I’m so glad that the sequel to Seinen Hakkaten & Yakedo to Tsumeato is now finally finished and released! It’s actually finished earlier last week, but I haven’t prepped anything or even quality checking because workworkasdfghkjl;’( , but now here it is! :D
My biggest, softest, fluffiest thanks to Ao ( @onlyonetruth ), the benevolent, magical translator, as always. ;3 And to my frequent collaborator, Megchan, for willing to help me with proofreading (Ch. 2, 3 & the epilogues, to be exact), when things got extra hectic on my end (even though they’re also busy with several other projects as well as translating Warudakumi with me!). Seriously, I love you guys and I’m forever grateful! 😭 😭
So, yeah, the story of Aoi Tori Yori (Mejiro & Yamaguma) picks up about 7 years after the end of Seinen Hakkaten (or... 7 years of them living together, considering Yamaguma’s nephew’s age -- Ehh...? The math and time are kinda wibbly-wobbly here). Meanwhile, Kimi di Saigo (Koga & Najima) picks up right after Yakedo (before Aoi Tori). And by this time (as you may have seen on the teaser), Najima finally finishes his second book. It’d be anticlimactic if he actually took 7 friggin’ years to finish, don’t you think? xD
