"Why haven't we had sex yet?"
had he just heard the other right? Arching one brow, he gave him a rather tart look though his expression barely changed; more a pensive glance then anything. "I don't think I know you that well." He demurred, resisting the urge to be a little sarcastic though Kuroo might deserve it.
"Did you miss me?"
" Let’s go celebrate it right now then !! “
"Are you sure it wouldn't be bothersome?" He's almost touched by Bokuto's enthusiasm. "What were you thinking of?"
"I studied so much I forgot my birthday yesterday..."

Bokuto clung onto Akaashi like they had been glued together due to the freezing temperature and how he had conveniently forgotten to bring his scarf in the midst of excitement that enveloped him when the second-year finally agreed to accompanying the Captain to Starbucks to get a peppermint mocha.
Overhearing Konoha talk about how great it tasted to the point of finishing it in a go without sharing a single drop had successfully plagued his interest, sending a message to Akaashi that same night to go along with him and pestering the other to no end until he agreed — pride and all be damned if it would satisfy the sudden surge of curiosity that would bug him for days. It was a terrible habit, but at least he got motivation to learn new things if it happened.
" OOOH, I’m so excited !! “ The third-year chanted joyfully in the casual loud tone as they were on their way to Starbucks via the pavement and continued, quite used to the other not replying to some of the conversations he started.
" Will it taste really spicy or something ?"
Our muses take a trip to Starbucks to try their first ever peppermint mocha.

"I don't think peppermint is spicy." Recalling the flavour of some mints he had eaten a while back, as he reflected on how he was even here to begin with. His inability to refuse most of Bokuto's requests based on how harmless they were and the odd appeal they had. Sometimes he wondered if Bokuto deliberately requested to do things he knew Akaashi gleaned enjoyment of if only to bask in his good mood and to feel a surge of pride in knowing what he had achieved. But, that was pure speculation. Obviously. God, it was cold. His irritation was mounting because of the chill and perhaps marginally as a result of Bokuto's presumed intimacy, the way he hadn't just been grabbed but in a sense it felt like Bokuto was trying to absorb him as some kind of physical extension he was holding him so hard. "That hurts." He droned, resisting the urge to elbow him and settling for scowling instead. At least they were almost there.
He stepped into the house, brushing the soles of his shoes on the welcome mat before slipping them off. No house slippers in sight, he padded barefoot into the hallway with a polite bob of his head at Iwai’s parents before following him upstairs to his room. Gaze roaming...
He took a seat though it wasn't necessarily when directed, muting a noise of relief. The journey here had been bothersome for him but easier then travelling to, say, the boonies where Karasuno essentially was. Ah, the life of a city kid. "I was told you got C's for your exams. A friend of yours asked if I could study with you to help raise that." Being an A, or near straight A student was mainly just studying then anything. He wasn't naturally smart, just cynical (and mothering). Flipping through the textbooks that had weighed him down on the way here. "What's your worst subject?"

He was stunned by the action, or was it better to say he hadn’t expected it? For the setter to quite casually tug his lolly from between lips and then bop his own lightly was disgusting. Then again he had speculated as to whether Oikawa had manners anyway and this was a clear no. No, that he did not. Or maybe he did in a twisted sense. “No thanks.” He said with a dry but amused tone, smile firmly masked.
Yowch. Someone must’ve woken up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Oikawa thinks, surprised to be met with such acrid dryness. It’s a friendly action, the offering of the strawberry lolli from his own mouth — and sharing the sugary treat with Bokuto always left the other captain as peachy pleased as a little boy left to wander about in a candy store, so he’d figured he might as well try it with Akaashi. Obviously, his mistake had been to assume — once again — that Bokuto’s good cheer and humour extended to his pucker-faced vice-captain. Oikawa easily brushes the citric acid sting of Akaashi’s inflection off with a shrug, pasting on an even brighter smile as he rolls the lollipop back onto his tongue. “Suit yourself.”
He turns to leave but ends up pausing at the last moment, glancing back over his shoulder with a soft, bubbly laugh. “…But you do know that you’ve probably already shared an indirect kiss with me, right?”
"Just some food for thought!" Oikawa smiles around the lolli, waves goodbye to Akaashi, and whirls back around to exit the gymnasium.
Implication scalds Akaashi before morbid curiosity bids him to enquire for there is no reason he can think of that might herald kissing the brunet even indirectly. What a mystery and conundrum. "What do you mean?" Determined not to allow the other a chance to escape he keeps apace even though his intentions had lain in opposing directions and really, it was all a waste of time anyway if you thought about it. Hands curled as they were thrust deep into his pockets, brushing stray lint and noticeably, crumbs. Had Bokuto put anything in his blazer lately? He couldn't recall. Strides not quite as long as the setter, though he wasn't left behind either.

"I haven't seen Bokuto lately, it's kind of.. Quiet..." He wouldn't admit too being lonely, not at all.
