forgive me if this doesn’t fit in with canon at all, i am about to go to sleep so my head is pretty empty. but. i remember a few years ago there was a king!hitori au going around and i was thinking about it again and wondering hitori would end up becoming a king-like character in the first place - because he’s a little bit too much of a go-getter to wallow y’feel? 

but then i thought about (post-nageki death) hitori becoming the king in the hopes of catching his orphanage siblings in the night sky and making them stay with him, because he has so much trouble letting go of those who pass on. and he’s been fishing among the stars for years and has finally rounded up everybody - except, for some odd reason, he hasn’t yet been able to find nageki, who he wants to find more than anybody else
