Let’s clear something’s up, no they aren’t dead, yes vampires can be decapitated and then have their heads stitched on again as long as it’s within a certain amount of time. Armand and Daniel basically pulled a forced stasis on them. Also in the first book Armand tried to take Claudia’s decapitated head and put it on Madelines body but It didn’t work. So we know they can be decapitated and still survive. It’s just a delicate and not fun process.
Claudia finally being able to scream and yell and tell them exactly how she felt was what she needed. The fact she is done and has been sick and tired of being yanked around even in death by Louis and lestat. For Louis self flagellation and lestats need to glamorize his own story. She is continuously being dragged around by them both and she needed the safe space of her being a spirit to fully express every emotion she held onto. Also she has been only searching and calling for one person in the last 77+ years. Madeline. That is her only thought is to find her one true immortal companion and the love of her life. Not Louis, not lestat. Madeline.
Yes all the main vamps, minus Daniel *as far as we know* have been victim to some form of CSA. With Louis it’s a cousin who he said stuck his fingers in him, with lestat it’s his mother grooming him and then the incest of it all when they are vampires, for Armand, he was sold as a sex slave. No this does not equate to ‘CSA will make you queer’ it’s just showing that it is an unfortunate reality for many children that they dealt with CSA in multiple centuries. The fact it is 3 very different facets of how CSA can occur is just speaking that CSA and in Louis case COCSA has been happening since forever. For a long time it wasn’t seen as what it is now but it’s just part of three characters stories.
Armand is trying to STOP the great conversion that will happen if lestat gets on stage and performs. Because it will reawaken Akasha and she will start the process of her master plan.
Daniel is just fucking done with Louis and lestats bullshit. Yes he is following Armand because unlike Louis or lestat who let’s be real no one wants to learn anything about being a vamp from either of them, Armand is saying he can teach him how to handle the whole vampire thing and also ‘hey ya wanna learn to walk in the sun?’ As if that wouldn’t be enticing as fuck. see also Armand saying ‘bro I have been watching and protecting you for 52 years. And I’m not gonna stop now…even if ya hate me, I’m gonna be watching over you. Also I have been in love with you since we met in the 70s so there’s that’ like it’s also that maker-fledgling pull. You hear it with Claudia ‘he is my maker.’ It’s a relationship that will always pull you towards one another, even if you fucking hate each other.
I needed Claudia to be angrier tbh, she deserved to scream and shout and fully rip them apart. She deserved to finally be free of them anchoring her with their own pity parties and infantilized ideals of who she was. Maybe this will help start her being able to let the mortal world go and she can be with Madeline in the afterlife.
As soon as I saw Alex meeting Armand in AA I knew that man was gonna do some fucked shit. And Alex is a vampire…so that makes me wonder who turned Alex? Armand or someone else….because we know Daniel is like the only fledgling Daniel ever makes, Armand doesn’t even turn his own mortal children, so I don’t think he would ever turn anyone other then Daniel.
Daniel getting a tan…never realized vampires could tan…though makes sense that they start to burn if they are out too long, even as daywalkers. So I fear Daniel got a tan but was like pretty close to burning and starting to burn in the turning to ash way. My guess is when he was learning to daywalk with Armand he pushed it too far with how long he was in the sun. Cause even daywalkers can only withstand the sun for short periods of time.
Akasha is gonna show Louis and lestat what crazy really is. Akasha gonna fuck them up. And I can’t wait to see it.
Akasha can walk in the sun, she just has been only fed with ashes and is in a stone like stasis. Yes she is weaker because she hasn’t had actual blood. When she gets blood, she will be at full power and yes she will be able to walk in the sun like Armand and Daniel can.
Merrik is not a good person. Bestie is gonna cause so many problems. Shes a Mayfair witch, witches are forbidden from being turned into vampires. Louis turns Merrik into a vampire. It’s a whole mess of shit. And I can’t wait.
