Calamity Sin: A Gripping Tale Inspired by Resident Evil and Silent Hill
Hello, and welcome to the very first blog post for our upcoming game Calamity Sin! My name is Andrew, I am one of the lead narrative designers and writers of Calamity Sin, working amongst a small group of developers who are as passionate to get this game done and out as much as I am! Weâll have plenty to show you over the gameâs development cycle, but first things first.Â
 Unveiling Calamity SinâŠÂ
Picture this: Calamity Sin is an immersive third-person, fixed camera angle survival horror game that puts you into the role of a young woman named Cassandra who wakes up in a haunting morgue, devoid of her memories and her past. All she has to guide her are the bodies leading the way across this strange environment sheâs found herself in, the bizarre mutated forms that have come to greet her violently, and the voice of a mysterious woman over the intercom assisting Cassandra in surviving.Â
Drawing inspiration from classics like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, Calamity Sin boasts an artfully designed fixed-camera perspective, which the game has taken immense influence from. The player will have to survive in this facility in which experiments have gone wrong, utilizing their wits and survival instincts to manage resources, solve puzzles big and small, and get out alive.Â
A little bit of design and the story behind Cassandra
Cassandra grew up in the Theoris Organization's monastery, raised by the organization's leaders. She was told that her parents had died, but never learned the truth about her mother Athena. The Theoris Organization considered her impure, and never considered that she could be the messianic figurehead or "Ultimate Being."
The Player Character appears with the robe & tactical version. The tactical version doesn't have the masked version as in the concept art.
Behaviors of Player Character
Basic movement and animation:
Walking
Running
Combat animation:
Aiming with a pistol and shooting.
Aiming with a shotgun and shooting.
Stabbing with a knife.
Clawmark hit by the enemy.
Falling when being hit by the Hunter's cannon.
Interaction:
Picking up and using items
Opening doors
Manipulating objects in the game world (etc combining ammo with a gun, combining puzzle items).
Decision-making and problem-solving (Making choices and puzzle-solving).

Meet Lykosđ, the crimson wanderer, one of the two protagonists of my new free Yaoi VN game.đčđ€âšLykos lives imprisoned in his castle after a wizard cast a powerful spell on him.
I wanted to mimic TWEWY style for this VN, but I'm not sure how it'll play out eventually with the overall gothic setting.
As the player, you take control of both characters, navigating the castle as you try to release Lykos from his eternal prison.
