ned gave the man a questioning, shocked look. the outburst had startled him, causing a slight jump. people here were much louder. however, he couldn’t say much as it was the same from where he was from. often times people didn’t get along such as himself and the lannisters.

               “you’re excited.”

     “yeah! tony and i..well, i STOLE from him.”

he gave a slight laugh, trying to play off the fact that, yes, scott had stolen from one of the richest men on earth. hopefully this guy, whoever he was, wouldn’t think too poorly of the ant-man.

He was strange, she decided. Not in a bad way, necessarily… But strange nonetheless. Maybe it was because she knew so little about him, that there was too much to try to surmise from this brief interaction. 

It unsettles her when she can’t figure someone out right away. 

They walk in silence until she reaches the grass and starts to search for an anthill. 

“Alright… How’s this?” 

Natasha lowers her hand to the grass and waits for him to respond. 

He looks out at the grass, searching for any sort of sight of an Anthill. Once his eyes spotted one the small man jumped up and down a few times while pointing. 

              “No, go that way!”

   He’s not sure if he believes this     guy actually beat up an Avenger.

          “It’s USEFUL.”

   He realizes that the power of shrinking     might sound a little lame and not actually     a REAL power. But it is!

the name was a foreign one, someone ned had not heard of it. it was strange to hear that others had his surname. before, it would mean that person was related to him, shared his blood. in the modern times, it meant nothing. the stark name did not hold the honor it once had.

               “i’ve heard of him but i don’t know who he is.”

      “OH, THANK GOD!”

he let out a breath that he didn’t even know he  had been holding in. with a small laugh, he grinned  up at the other man. suddenly he determined that  they were going to get along just fine.

      “Fine. FINE. I’ll just go off by myself. Alone.”

“Sure- always happy to help anyone who manages to knock Sam down a peg.” 

She cups her hand just a little bit to make sure she doesn’t drop him, although she’s heard that he can take it… and even do some damage on impact. 

“Which direction am I going? Front of the building or back? I can’t say I’m as familiar with the anthills on the grounds as you are.”

     “Head towards the back of the        building. Less foot traffic means        more anthills. And thank you!”

He carefully held onto her thumb to make sure that he didn’t fall off or get blown away. It was nice to have someone who was going to help. This area was entirely unfamiliar to him.
