Pod 153. It did seem harmless now, true enough. Norman wondered offhand if there had ever been any real intention of shooting him, or if it had just been an intimidation tactic. Archer smiled, friendly and reassuring, and welcomed him in â he certainly didnât seem like the type to shoot down someone helpless without batting an eye, even someone who wasnât his own master. Regardless, Norman slipped past the other to examine the room. It was fairly bare, true â couch, bed, refrigerator, microwave. Fairly identical to the one next door, minus personal effects. Limited space, though since he was used to sharing his space with several siblings, he thought it would feel bigger than he was used to.
Heâd rather have his siblings. But they werenât here, were most likely back home, with Ray and Emma, and he reminded himself to be thankful for that.
âItâs enough to live on.â He went to the refrigerator, opening it to check its contents. Empty, though it was running. Heâd have to find somewhere to do grocery shopping. The Triplicata supposedly offered a map, if he couldâŠfigure it out. âDid anything else happen before I got here? Anyone trying anything strange?â Did you gun anyone down? he wanted to ask, primarily in jest, but he wasnât sure how the question would be received. And it was a little bit of a real concern. He didnât mind ArcherâsâŠalertness â it was very useful, in fact â but the last thing he needed was someone taking them as enemies because of it.
â»- - - - Norman was right. A place like this in itself was just a place to rest. Decorations and the such were useless.  A bed was probably all that was needed. Though for a human, other things would be needed as well. He should have known just from analysis... That his master was at least going to be living. âNope, not at all. It was pretty boring you know!â He replied, his light tone masking the belated analyzing he had been doing at the same time.Â
As he watched the other take in the environment of their living quarters, 9S would pull out a chair from the dining table and take a seat backwards-- resting his arms on the back of the chair in a relaxed manner.Â
âWell, anything youâd like to ask?â With how perceptive Norman was, 9S was sure that there was a lot on the kidâs mind.Â
