Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii Chapter 66 Summary (spoiler)
This post contains spoilers which would only be suitable for those who have caught up to the latest chapters of this series. If you have any questions, you are free to ask but keep it to the same arc. (It means none of Princess Luna’s marriage and the other events) But if you are lost on the storyline, I don’t suggest you read it since you might not get some parts that I’m saying.
This is just the scanned cover to prove that I actually bought the book and this is not some theory post.
From the previous chapter, Cassandra sent Livius for the ‘final test’ to save Nike and was sent to the Dragon’s mouth to return with an egg as proof. After passing through a flood of snakes by overcoming his fears, he found the nest where the egg was but was stopped while trying to return from the cave by what he sees as Sheila. They have a sweet reunion moment but Sheila then asked why didn’t he save her?
Remember in the anime where they showed Livi and Luna when they were still kids? (well, they are still children but i mean when they were toddlers) Sheila then recalled him that he would free her and get out of the palace together, which was what he wanted that time. Livius then recalled that time when he simply spent most of his time with Sheila where he was later trained to be king and turned cold.
He later recalled the time where he was poisoned after chosen to be king where he sobbed about not wanting to be king but just to live out of the palace with Sheila and thought of how it would be better if he wasn’t born. Back to the present, he cried remembering about those pathetic moment.
Sheila then followed by saying that she does not blame him for not saving her and now just wants him to stay together with from now and just asked him to fall asleep. While doing so, he recalled Nike and Sheila was trying to rip his necklace, maybe to detach him from remembering Nike.
Livius asked Sheila to sing for him but Sheila doesn’t know and Livius tried to hint at her by singing. Sheila tried to stop him but he kept singing. Livius then overcame his longing for Sheila while singing and recalling various flashback.
Sheila then smiled and disappeared, since she’s actually an illusion in the cave and was actually a bird making her appear with its illusory powers. He thanked the bird for allowing him to reunite with her mother and set out to save Nike.
I missed some parts because I can’t explain without displaying some scans, which I don’t think I’d want to display on tumblr but on wordpress instead. So, if you want a more elaborate version, you’ve got to wait for my wordpress post.
