Hello! Hey I donât know if itâs the mobile app but when I went to check your haikyu series links (no the link to the masterlist but to the actual fics) they all directed to bbysamu and said post not found :(

â and we'll wait for the 'it was real all along' moment. â
PRECIS. after getting humiliated by you on school's forum in the first year, kuroo made it his primary goal to get back at you. now, two years later, when you have seemingly forgotten about the incident, you ask him to pretend to be your boyfriend to drive away the boy who has been following you around lately.
your goal is to graduate peacefully and kuroo's new goal is to be your fake boyfriend and embarrass you so much that no one would want to date you ever again.
GENRE. enemies to lovers ! au, fake dating ! au, slight mutual pinning, humour, fluff
WARNINGS. mild profanities, kuroo makes very bad chemistry puns ( and pick up lines ) embarrassing and cringe ( i tried ) disgustingly cute at some point literally just two people experiencing love for the first time. + tba in the respective chapters
TAGLIST. comment / send an ask to join
NOTE. oh okay Okay . . . finally writing something after months, i hope my writing hasn't taken a turn for the worse. wanted to make this a oneshot but thought separate chapters would be better. this is not a smau. it consists of written chapters, which would take time so please be patient with the updates. ps im very proud of that poetry in chapter titles lol
CHAPTERS!
â one â yn my old friend
â two. â the one i lo(ath)ve the most
â three. â you make it hard to sleep
â four. â maybe we're destined to be
â five. â star crossed haters !!!
EXTRA!
you can request extra scenarios, or even make some if u want. anything listed below is either something i was unable to incorporate in main plot / unrelated to main plot but too good to leave out
SAKUSA Kiyoomi saw you dancing across the crowded room at 11:45 pm and thought you look much happier without him.
Yet, the surprise in your eyes mirrored his own when you reached up and touched the wetness on your cheek. Neither of you had expected the lone teardrop.
Sakusa had always thought the spring college parties a bad idea. A crowded house with barely-there adults, one too many drunk couples making out on the sofa, and random collection of vomit at the most unexpected places. College parties were definitely not Sakusa kiyoomiâs idea of a fun Saturday night.
But this party was a particularly bad idea because you were here. Stupid Atsumu, whoâve begged and begged him, promising you wouldnât, you couldnât, possibly show up at this party.
âThereâs no way she would come. Last I heard, after your breakup, sheâs been holed up in her room all day.â
Sakusa appeared unaffected but his slight wince gave away his lingering affections for you.
Atsumu shrugged, âwhatâs done is done. Come on, the entire team will be there, you donât want to be the loner.â

Atsumu shrugged, âwhatâs done is done. Come on, the entire team will be there, you donât want to be the loner.â
Sakusa finally gave in to Atsumuâs pestering.
But now, with your eyes boring into his, Sakusa wished heâd never relented to Atsumuâs persistent begging.
No one noticed, but at this very party, with the bass thumping, shaking the entire foundation of the house, two former lovers stood frozen in place. Both lost in memories preserved in a time that neither of them can touch nor ever go back.
Despite the constant interruption of people moving in between, you and Sakusa had always been able to communicate with your eyes.
âhow are you?â
âIâm fine.â
âIâm sorry.â
âas youâve said a thousand times.â
He watched as you turned away, roughly wiping at the tear. You put on a smile and walked towards your friends. No one noticed the tear, no one except for him. He tried to catch your eyes again, but you walk past him like you didnât know him.
Truth was, Sakusa knew he was to blame for the state of your relationship. He had spent the greater part of his post-break up days putting the blame on you.
If only you hadnât been so clingy, then heâd never have felt the pressure to be the âperfectâ boyfriend. If only you hadnât moved with him to Tokyo to pursue his dreams, then youâd have been back in Miyagi the day she showed up and stole his heart away. If only you hadnât shown up to his game on October 1st, then you wouldnât have had to see the way he passionately pushed her up against the lockers, his lips crashing into hers. If only youâd put up more of a fight instead of silently packing away the remnants of you, then heâd have begged you to stay.
If only he hadnât cheated on you, then heâd never have to experience life without you.
Sakusa watched as you disappear into the kitchen, probably about to pour yourself a little shot of vodka, the bitter liquid had always been your choice of escape from reality.
Sakusa quietly slipped out the backdoor. It was the least he could do. He shouldnât have to ruin a party for you. You could save your tears for another day, for another man. But he certainly wonât be saving his tonight as his head fell back on the pillow, his eyes staring up at the ceiling with tears that just canât stop falling.
the two of you are enjoying your Sunday at the local town fair
âare ya having fun?â he asks, glancing down at you, smiling warmly
âmmhmâ you reply, mouth stuffed with pretzels
Osamu stops you in his track and uses the sudden halt to wipe off the excess sugar from the corners of your mouth with the napkin in his hand.Â
âthanks samu.â you try your best not to blush at the sweet gesture.Â
Your tender moment was interrupted by an âomg! Osamu is that you?!â
Osamu could feel goosebumps run across his arms, he could recognize that voice anywhere, it haunted him in his nightmares
With his back to her, he quickly whispers, âya think we can pretend like I didnât hear her?â
You steal a quick glance her way, âI donât think so, babe. Sheâs waving at me right now.â
Osamu puts on a fake smile and turns around, âoh, heyâŠâ
You feel your throat hitch when her perfume hits you in the face and you involuntarily take a step closer to your boyfriend, hoping his cologne would mask her sickly sweet scentÂ
âhi Osamu! itâs been too long. Howâve you been?â
Your boyfriend awkwardly looks at you before answering, âIâve been good.â
Stacey looks at him expectantly
âumâŠhow ya doinâ, kimi?â
âIâve been good!â She suddenly sighs, âlook Iâve been thinking about youâŠabout us, a lot these days. And now I just happen to run into you. It must be fate!â
Osamu coughs, âno, itâs not. weâve ran into three people I know already. Itâs a pretty popular fair.â
kimi wouldnât take no for an answer, âwell since weâre here anyways, do you want to walk around together? I saw a booth selling all flavors of onigiri.â
Kimi turns to you and smiles, âyour sister can come along too!â
You and Osamu look at each other in surprise and look back at Stacey. Her smile seems too genuine to be fake.
âsheâs not my sister, kimi. This is my girlfriend, y/n.â he puts an arm around you, pulling you into himÂ
A deep red covers her face as she sputters an apology to you, âoh oh! Iâm so sorry. I had no idea Osamu has a girlfriend now. Iâm really sorry, y/n. I didnât mean to hit on your boyfriend.â
You smile, a little flustered at her reaction, âitâs fine, an honest mistake.â
âwellâŠthis has been fun to say the least. Iâm gonna go now. I hope you guys have a good time.â
The two of you watch as she disappears back into the crowd
âsoâŠâ
âsoâŠshe seems nice?â
âyeah sheâs nice, just a little too enthusiastic and annoying,â Osamu rubs his temple before glancing at you shyly, âthanks for being so cool about running into my ex thoughâŠâ
You stand on your tippy toes to kiss him on the cheeks, âwhat can I say? Iâm just a naturally cool person.â
He turns and catches your lips, âyes, ya most definitely are.â
ây/n? Is that you?â a voice interrupts you and osamu
you groaned internally before whispering to Osamu, âwhat is this? run-into-our-ex day?â
