A nightmare had stirred the young woman awake. She didn’t have them that often, most of her dreams were instead a replay of her mistakes in battle and how she would have fixed them. This time, however, she envisions the way her teacher’s smile... How even when he was dying, body slumping and going cold, the smile never faded.
The arm pierced through his core, staving off blood, until the sun rotted it away. The blood pooling his cape like a growing sun. The raw rage she had felt, watching him die, watching him throw himself before the laughing, smiling demon.
When she lifts her head from the pillow, her eyes meet a pair of glowing ones in the dark. Her own rosy ones widen, and for a moment, she feels rage and fear all at once.
Nothing is said. Nezuko just breathes and clutches her chest, other hand hovering over the nichirin blade sheathed beside her futon.
Nezuko’s bamboo muzzle is in fact a hair accessory. It was originally meant to be tied around the hair at where the ponytail might be, or around a bun. Giyuu retrieved it from the Kamado house while the demon was unconscious, and then used it as a muzzle. It has a very strong lacquer around the bamboo itself, which makes it a prime choice for protecting the object from Nezuko’s fangs.

“Takeo...” Nezuko couldn’t hide the smile on her face when her brother reached for her hand. It was easy to see her little brother as simply that- a little boy. But he was learning so quickly, learning how to defend himself and take care of others. Deep down, she knows their mother would have been so proud.
“Everything’s gonna be alright, okay? Let’s do our best. Once we get to the Wisteria House, maybe onii-chan will wanna play cards. That sound fun?” She had indulged, buying a pack of Hanafuda during their last venture into a town.
Kimetsu no Magi- A Madoka Magica x Demon Slayer AU.
Below are my descriptions of most of the main characters, and what their wishes, magic and soul gems are like. I’d love feedback, especially on your ideas of uniform ideas.
In this AU most everybody has a sword as their weapon, but with different magics related to their wish/original breathing styles. See below the cut for the full sheet.
;; in the AU in which both Nezuko and Tanjiro survive, Nezuko only lives because she went out to find her brother when he didn’t come home that evening. It took her a long time to make it to the old man’s house, where she was able to meet up with her older brother.
They both head back up in the morning, only to come across the grisly scene. Nezuko carries a lot of guilt, like in most verses, over having left her family behind, even if she wouldn’t have been able to save them then.

“Because. I haven’t eaten, and I’m guessing you haven’t either.” Ignoring that whole soul-bearing moment they had had, Nezuko wanted to help Giyuu feel better. Sharing food with others made it taste better, plus he wouldn’t have to talk with his mouth full! It was perfect!
“C’mon. I’ll even buy.”
