It's 2AM and i'm thinking about E&H ships again
Specifically Stiesel entering in as Edna and the Keymaster's third and the logistics of it
Now Edna and Stiesel hooking up is a non-issue, most people who've played the game notice the chemistry between them, but i'm thinking about the Keymaster and how HE would accept Stiesel
I like to imagine the Keymaster is similar to Edna in his treatment of Stiesel. He plays with him from behind the window in his cell, taking time out of his mental struggles to find what humor he can in messing with someone who hasn't learned the art of ignoring him like the other guards in the asylum... and Stiesel, as one knows, is SO easy to rile up, to the point that he's ended up losing his temper a couple times while on watch duty and just tries to verbally eviscerate Keymaster without thinking about how A) a reaction out of him is exactly what KM wants, and B) this man can and would pop his head like a ripe grapefruit if he ever got out of there
And KM admires Stiesel for having a modicum of a spine, even if KM knows that he'd fold like a card table the second he was in Stiesel's grabbing space
Both Edna and KM take great pleasure out of verbally or intellectually flustering Stiesel. Sometimes they work together, seeing who can get him more riled up, and Edna always wins, because even with her memory loss she still remembers how silly he is every time he guards her cell, which is one of the things that endears him to her. She enjoys taking that silly feeling, and using whatever she can get him to admit about himself in his frustration at her to piece together why he's like this every time, like he's a puzzle. She brings this up to KM and he admits to basically doing the same thing except with more terror. When they realize they both like him, they ease up a little, but after Stiesel finds this sudden shift in behavior suspicious, they start doing it again just to keep him from suspecting anything is actually peculiar
There are really tender moments between the three of them, most of which involve Edna helping Stiesel comprehend KM. She teaches him how to restrain him when he's having urges, and how to talk him down from his moods when he's overstimulated or just plain acting out. He gets good at it, too
Everyone in the polycule is, in the back of their minds, curious as to where this situationship will lead. There's definitely a sense of "I can fix them" that exudes from Stiesel in the beginning of their relationship which is immediately overwhelmed by Edna and KM's "I can make him worse" attitude (which they do, they do make him worse, but by now Stiesel's in too deep with his feelings and pride to be able to stop).
In the Found Family AU (where Edna and KM escape and wind up adopting Lili), Stiesel is initially distant to her because he's not particularly interested in helping parent Lili in the beginning, but he changes his mind when he notices that her disturbingly skillful ability to solve logic puzzles makes her GREAT at mini golf, and their mutual bonding over the sport is what makes Stiesel finally graduate from just being some guy her parents fuck to guardian figure
