celestia is such a funny character like she's constantly manipulating twilight and friends to do shit instead of just asking and you could arguably frame that as being bc she's a "god" and pushing fate to her design or whatever, except that she engages with the group like a normal and relatable person, which makes it more like villainous machinations, except 90% of this manipulation goes towards things like "I don't want my party to be boring shit again. put my little country girl blorbos in there with zero prep so they fuck it up bad"

Celestia instantly makes more sense as a character when you ignore the princess stuff and remember that she's a 1000+ years old wizard. Of course she does manipulative trickster stuff to teach moral lessons and/or cause chaos to amuse herself, that's classic wizard behavior. Of course sometimes she's actually socially awkward and bad at personal relationships and has bad ideas that she thought were good that result in her eating shit embarrassing style, that's classic wizard behavior. Of course she lets the aristocrats and nobles run around being assholes she's still running on wizard advisor programming, she's basically trying to merlin the entire upper class of equestria instead of just a king and some knights. "Yeah uuhhh we'll release the incarnation of chaos himself from his ancient prison because we think this shy girl can be friends with him", terrible plan if you're thinking like a ruler, amazing plan if you're thinking like a wizard. Just look at Canterlot 'Castle' for five seconds and ask yourself if that's in any way a castle. No. Wizard tower, yes. Wizard.

My previous reblog reminded me of this but i really love this dialogue from (presumably) big shot spamton. Its kind of why I dont personally get behind the idea that spamton was all that aloof when it cane to affection in his big shot era (mayhaps being a bit of a romantic, considering his fixation on kissing in. A lot of his stuff).
I didnt know i could get cuteness agression from dialogue. But. He’s so stupid and pathetic here. The “really really really” and “i read that the earth will stop spinning”. Sopping wet cat of a character. I cant stand him.

Since the Spamton Network videos were primarily made by the RTVS crew from my understanding, I don't know who's responsible for writing these little blurbs, and I don't think they're relevant to canon in any way -- but I think they're funny. And well, obviously, I like interpreting some of them as how he would've acted before his Puppetfication. AKA pretty similar just without the bracket ad text. (I like to think he talks in ALL CAPS all the time because he's YELLING TO MAKE HIMSELF TAKE UP MORE SPACE!!!)
(The "earth will stop spinning" is definitely a reference to Y2K and the panic surrounding it . Kinda intriguing to think about what that would be like from a Cyber Darkner's POV.)

I also could Never get behind the idea that fucking. SPAMTON. Was ever aloof and cool. The guy who was so desperate he turned to Supernatural Phone Assistance to get people to look at him? The guy who stuck his nose in a lighter? "That little freak?" HE was too cool for people? HE got annoyed at being given attention??? THIS guy?????
I wouldn't call him a romantic but he does advertise how much he's...on the market (CANNED LAUGH TRACK.) Maybe it's apart of his own desperation for positive attention that he frames in strange ways + tries to monetize...? He'll settle for "anyone who gives him money." If he "gets kissed on the mouth trying to do business" then he "just has to take it." My personal headcanon is that he's probably like this because most people don't! Actually like him that much! As a person! And never really have! So a fixation on this act of affection might reflect his desperation for a resemblance of a positive relationship. He's just weird about it.
I think he's always been weird about everything.

it’s so magical and beautiful that there are sprawling interconnected cave systems carved deep into the earth by various geological forces and you don’t have to go in them. there are miles and miles of stone passageways in total darkness that require you to exhale all the air out of your lungs to squeeze through parts of them and you don’t have to be there. some of these squeezes are underwater and require cave divers to take off their oxygen tanks and push them through ahead of them and me i am above ground looking at the sky as we speak. there are untold subterranean wonders no human has ever seen and i will not be the one to discover them #grateful #blessed
so true there could be any number of undiscovered species down there all of which are none of my business and never will be. peace and love on (the surface of) planet earth 💕

It killed me Dead when I realized you added Tenna with the Eyes because of this too. He looks so Silly with those things.
Anyways I absolutely love the way you drew these two... Queen's "eyebrow raise" screen calling him Gay Gay Homosexual Gay ... "Don't worry weird little mosquito thing" LMAO. Your Queen just looks so cool in general...Her awesome lineless collar and cool baggy gloves. How you draw Spamton's head & hair shape here is one of my favorites too. And the last one is so expressive even the glasses are warping in his Rage.
(Also these colors... Sooo nice. The sort of green lineart works surprisingly well with them. Big fan.)
