Fraser Valley Human Dignity Coalition has created a step-by-step guide for front line staff, teachers, students, and community members to reference when witnessing or a victim of discrimination or hate crime. We have laminated, and online PDF versions of this tool for the community to use.

A truly wonderful speech regarding Michael Sam, diversity, and not only a tolerance of differences, but a celebration of them. And this is from a Texan sportscaster!
Sometimes it's hard to remember, but money shouldn't be our ultimate goal.

Auntie, Is God a Boy or a Girl?
Well I think of God as a girl, because I am one, and Mommy is one, but in the Bible it says He, and everyone else says He, so with people I just say He so they know its God but in my head when I pray I say You or Dear God and I know who I’m talking to.
This is a child answering herself. At prayertime before bed.
Buddha, the Gurus, Christ Messiah, they are all father or male figures. To myself, a female adult, who has heard all interpretations of a gender-neutral God, including honouring the Goddess within, and to behold Mother Earth/Mother Nature; personally my souls desires, thanks, and praises are sent up to the Most High. Our Creator and Allmighty Most High being a tree in my mind . A long weeping willow, life giving tree. Bearing seeds and fruits and wisdom. Listening and responding. Are trees male or female? both, perhaps. But they are not human. This Tree of Creation represents all omnipotence, enlightenment and sagesse.
it is important to relate to a Higher Power in a way that You yourself can confide in, be truthfull to,with, and, for and about, and to represent in each way you live. If you believe God knows and accepted you and created you for who you are, then God is not prejudiced on sex. On marital role. on societal role. On boy/girl/both/human/being/life form/fetus.
In this day and age, when the Image of God is generally or more often male, middle aged and Caucasian, we should remind ourselves to feel free to relate to whatever Image of God we are gifted of in our souls, hearts, mind or Spirit. Ultimately this will conclude our search for truth to know truly God as one, as ourselves, and living in and of ourselves:the I n I. Livity, Infinity, i - Jah.
