❝ bt x wasteland ❞
He rose from the hole with a displeased expression, spitting dirt from his mouth and shaking it from his hair as he cleaned himself up bit by bit. He could hear the other beginning to awaken beside him and he had just enough time to brush the last bits of soil from his clothing and start to try and get up before there was a shriek ripping through the silence of dawn, one of both anger and terror simultaneously.
Jaehwan admittedly winced at the sound and in another second he was nearly being attacked, gathering himself and getting up to his feet before even bothering to reply. “I’m Jaehwan,” he replied smoothly, eyes raising from where he’d been adjusting his collar to his kin to meet his simply petrified expression, “and by now I think you must’ve figured out what’s happened?”
Despite himself he smiled, arms extending to either side of him to gesture to the rest of the world. “Welcome to the eternal afterlife, child,” he exclaimed, with perhaps just a bit too much of enthusiasm and pep. “Now that we’ve got you functioning and motionary again.. I’d say a meal would be in order, don’t you think? There’s a nice place around the corner with a corner of people who won’t be missed that’s always great for a full feed.” (He was probably — definitely — being way too lighthearted about this, but what the hell is he supposed to say? ‘Hey, you’re a vampire and I’m your dad in some weird way, let’s be bffs through all time?’ No.)
The snarl that tore itself out of his throat had him dropping into a crouching position again, and even he was surprised by the utter anger in his own voice. He didn't feel like himself anymore. He tried to lunge at the other again, was stopped short -- and he let out another blood-curdling, inhuman shriek of sheer fury. His blood sang hot in his veins (metaphorically, of course) and his emotions were running in overdrive, fueled by the anger and confusion that he felt.
At the mention of a meal, though -- a burning rose in his throat and he choked, clutching at his own throat, his eyes burning more crimson than ever and he growled softly, a strangled sound tugging itself out of his throat and he finally gasped out.
"Thirsty." It was a feeling unlike anything he'd ever felt before, a burning pain that consumed his mind and he couldn't think past it, couldn't find the anger and resentment anymore past the burning pain in his throat, it was going to consume him from the inside out and tear him apart --
Happenstance | Wonshik & Taekwoon
He doesn’t realize until it’s too late to remedy the problem(s) that 1) in his rush to chase after Jimin earlier he’d forgotten to put his contacts in before leaving the house, and 2) said half-blood boy is now nowhere to be found, meaning Wonshik is effectively stranded in some unknown part of town without even partially-decent vision to help guide him back to the house. At least he’d remembered to grab the sunglasses off his desk whilst running out otherwise he’d really be in trouble.
Blind as he is at the moment, it’s unsurprising when not two steps forward, the brunette manages to trip over something on the ground - not his own feet at least - and just barely manages to stop himself from crashing face-first into what feels like a post of some sort. This is going to be fun. Three more near-accidents and one wrong turn later, Wonshik remains as lost as he’d been when he started, if not more so. Perhaps he should simply stay put and wait for one of his housemates to come looking for him—the mental image that produces ( mainly of Hakyeon literally tearing the town apart at the seams in search of him ) makes the man frown.
Whilst dwelling on the potential disastrous effects of said friend’s rampage, he doesn’t notice that there’s something blocking his path until he quite literally walks into the obstruction. His senses scream ‘vampire’ at him ( he doesn’t need his eyes to tell that much ), but there’s a familiar edge to the person’s presence that keeps him from lashing out. “Sorry,” he mutters, squinting at the blurry mass in front of him; it makes no difference. “Who are you?”
Ever since they'd moved out of 7 Crimson Crescent, he hadn't really had a chance to see Wonshik and Hakyeon. Alright, that was a lie. He'd seen Hakyeon plenty, but Wonshik, barely any at all. Strangely enough, he missed the hunter -- he'd been the first one to find out that there was a vampire living with them (with the exception of Hongbin, of course) and also the first one to do absolutely nothing about it.
Currently, though, he had absolutely no idea why in the world he was outside, considering it was daylight and he was just about as weak as a human during this time. His reflexes were slowed, he felt as though he'd not had any sleep for days and overall, he just wanted to be home. But Hongbin had asked him to pick up something, emphasizing that he didn't have to if he didn't want to -- but then, he'd never been able to refuse the younger male anything, had he?
So it was that he found himself making his way carefully down the bright streets of afternoon, realizing too late that there was someone walking towards him -- into him. Ah. There was someone standing right in front of him, and he squinted helplessly at the figure before he realized who it was.
"Wonshik?"

❝ bt x wasteland ❞
Coming to a stop in moments, he laid the body down down in a clear grassy area shielded by large oak trees blanketing the sky, not bothering to try and be gentle — death was inevitable, anyways, so he found no point to handle the body with too much care at the moment. There was a small bit of guilt somewhere in the pit of his stomach as he knew that the pain must be insurmountable, seemingly impossible to bear, but there was also the part at the back of his mind reminding him that he’d gone through all this once, too.
It’s what gave him that last push to bring his wrist up to his mouth and, fangs pressing right up against where his own pulse should be, bit down hard enough to leave a decently sized wound behind. There was a small sting but he ignored it, other hand coming down to pry the bottom part of the near-corpse’s jaw down, tilting his hand to let the blood drip down to his mouth and down his throat. When he’d healed and his blood dried atop his wrist he simply stood, beginning to claw at the dirt in the empty space beside the pale frame.
It didn’t take too long and it wasn’t too strenuous but soon he had two graves dug, one of which he was to spend the next day of his life in. There was a ball of nerves tugging at his tummy as he arranged the body down in the first and began to cover it up with soil, a worry that maybe this wouldn’t work, but he did his best to push it from his mind as he set himself down into his bed. He pulled the blanket of earth down over himself and settled down until he was completely covered, eyes closed as he simply let himself relax and fall into the lull of the planet around him, praying to a god he didn’t quite believe in that the night would pass successfully.
He did not expect to ever awaken again. He did not expect his eyes to snap open, to inhale the scent of soil and blood and air, to hear the emptiness around him -- he had no heartbeat. There was no heartbeat in the air, and he pressed a hand over his chest, tearing through the soil effortlessly, his eyes blazing red and terrifying in the darkness. Where was he? What was he? How was he still... alive? Was he still alive?
His head flicked back and forth, infinitesimal movements that were barely there and he jerked upright abruptly, tearing through the earth in a violent motion. He found himself in the open air, surrounded by trees, and a hand went to his stomach -- flawless. There was no wound. His eyes widened slightly, glowing crimson in the darkness, and he bolted out of -- a grave. He'd been in a grave. A sickening sense of horror arose in him, and he backed away slowly, sensing someone else next to him.
"What did you do?!" He demanded, his voice ripping through an octave, inherently alien and altogether terrifying. "Who are you and what did you do to me?!?!" At a speed he'd never known he could move, he lunged towards the figure still lying in the grave, only to be brought up short.
Terrified. He was terrified.
[TXT] taekwoonie~!!!! [TXT] i'm hungry let's go out to eat c;
( sms // hakyeon ) … do you know how disturbing that is?
( sms // hakyeon ) i’m not that hungry… but alright.
❝ bt x wasteland ❞
The sound and smell of death may have grown more and more familiar, recognizable, but with throat sealing itself off Jaehwan knew that it would never grow any easier to be around. He wandered the empty battlefield, bodies strewn over crimson stained grass and each pair of eyes he passed vacant of life, his lips pressed into a thin line. Despite the fact he wasn’t inhaling, he let out a large exhale with far too much meaning underlying it.
Not only did it not grow easier, but as he aged and aged mentally he started to realize how pointless all this was, how much it didn’t matter. He passed by an older man, a clear wound puncturing right through his heart, and wondered if he’d had a family. (His mind briefly flickered back to his father and his own family, but he was quick to pensively bat that away from thought.) There was a cough to his right (that helped distract his mind), a choked intake of breath that he knew could only be that of someone fighting for their life, and he turned, expecting the worst.
Much too young, much too pretty, this boy was not yet the right age to die. Jaehwan didn’t want to pity him but he did anyways, knowing that this was most likely not even his own battle to fight — and for a reason he wouldn’t admit he felt the urge to take the opportunity in front of him, gain a colleague. He crouched down beside him and his fingers wrapped around the warm, wet hilt of the spear sticking out of the man’s stomach and promptly ripped it out in a clear motion, expression blank as he set it aside and hoisted the body carefully up and over his shoulder, running from the warzone to a secluded area close by in a matter of seconds with no thoughts on his mind but keep him alive, in the only way you know how.
The sound of footsteps squelching in the rivers of blood that watered the once barren soil sounded in his ears only very distantly. His world was the rasping in his chest and the pain in his stomach, though everything -- everything was dulling around him. It was numbing, the pain that raced through him, he was losing the battle for consciousness, and the footsteps that stopped by him puzzled him, but only very faintly. Was someone here to watch him die?
Through barely open eyes, he watched as the man wrapped a hand around the hilt of the spear still buried deep in his stomach, a bloody hand fluttering slightly to try to figure out what the other male was doing. A yank and --
Agony flooded his veins and he choked on his scream, blood bubbling up his throat as his body arched, blood gushing out anew from the now exposed wound. The shock of pain to his system and the shocking fast pace of blood loss had him feeling faint, his once tenuous grip on consciousness fading all too quickly and it was with a choked, strangled sound of pain that he completely lost the battle, his body going limp over the stranger's shoulder, his blood soaking the other's clothing with wet warmth.
Death was better than pain, though. At least in the comforting blackness, he could no longer feel anything. He was just drifting -- floating, in the cusp between life and death.
「 all the way to cloud 9 。」
"I am not —” he protests, a pout coming onto his face before he scrunches up his nose, realizing he was very much just proving the vampire’s point and he sighs quite loudly, shaking his head before he walks past the elder and into their new living area. ( He was quite amused that, as much as Taekwoon had seemed to have hated him when they first met and before he found himself bothering the vampire on a daily basis, that he was comfortable enough to shove his hand into his pocket to get the keys. )
"Should we get black out curtains? Those ones aren’t too bad, but if we get black out curtains you would feel better during the day right?” Hongbin had found out that he had much to learn about vampires once he ended up befriending one — especially one as old as Taekwoon was. There were certain things, and certain myths, that he had never believed or thought possible until they had been confirmed with the other.
And they were often rather … interesting.
( The whole feeding thing had been an accident after all. )
"This place is a lot smaller, hey? But then again it was made for two people and not four …" He just tilts his head, realizing he could actually put the boxes down now and he places them onto the ground, glancing around to see what they could do with the place. There wasn’t much yet, and he sighs, missing the couch at 7 Crimson Crescent already before he pokes his head into the two rooms. Neither were as big as his room back at the sharehouse but that wasn’t horrible.
He guessed there wasn’t exactly a reason for them to have separate rooms since he always ended up passing out in the vampire’s room when the other fed from him, and he had gotten so used to it that he often found himself actually searching for Taekwoon when he wanted to take a nap. ( His sleeping pattern was pretty messed up since he didn’t actually have a job to worry about so he ended up just sleeping and eating all the time if he wasn’t searching for intel. )
"Is there a point in picking rooms?"
His lips turned up slightly at the corners, amused at how the younger contradicted himself almost immediately and seemed to realize it as well, his eyes sparking for a moment with amusement before he set the bags down on the ground by the couch. Almost immediately, he collapsed onto the couch, his face pressed into the armrest, a muffled sound coming from him in answer. "Mm... Bright." He complained softly, yawning -- it wasn't surprising, considering it was just afternoon and he by all rights should have been asleep for hours now, but here he was, moving things around in broad daylight and he found that he rather wanted to take a nap, now that he was lying down.
He had gotten quite used to essentially being the younger's blanket back at 7 Crimson Crescent, where they had had separate rooms but the rooms had legitimately been of no use, since they had constantly found themselves sleeping in the same room, whether it be after feeding or for a nap or for anything in general, really. Shrugging a little bit, he glanced at where the hunter stood, his eyes half closed as he relaxed on their couch.
"Mm, no..." He muttered softly, turning his face away from the sunlight shining on his face, and he yawned again.
He wanted to set up a bed and just pass out right then and there. It had definitely been a bad idea to lay down on the couch to begin with, because now he didn't want to move at all. The couch was so comfortable -- and he voiced as much to his roommate and unlikely friend, his eyes closed.
"Can I just sleep?" His words were slurred together a bit, clearly exhausted from the bright sunlight and the moving. Usually, it wouldn't have been a problem, but in order to keep appearances up -- he was so tired. And this couch was so nice. ( Actually, it sucked, but he was too sleepy to care. )
♚; on the air, in the air
What was he doing there, working at a restaurant as though he were still human? He’d gotten through the interview surprisingly easy, and now the orange haired vampire was standing with a small group of new employees, waiting to receive their training. Their employer looked intimidating with his feline-esque eyes that seemed to pierce hearts and dig up one’s soul, but his voice was so soft Taehyung wondered how such a conundrum existed.
That, and he felt much like how Evelyn had. The owner was a vampire.
The fledgling shivered and lowered his eyes as he listened to the instructions — clean up at this time, treat customers this way, be aware of your surroundings — fidgeting with the cuff of his button up shirt. Not everyone in the room was a vampire, which set him even more on edge. How should he react? Wait, remember to breathe, Taehyung. Exhaling through his nose, he peeked from under his fringe at the owner once more, then nodded as the group had been dismissed to receive specifics. He followed a pair to the left, knowing those two to also be waiting tables, and clasped his hands in front of him while he waited.
He hoped the feeling of a gaze boring into his back was not the owner, but then, as a vampire himself, how could the older not know of Taehyung’s situation? He worried at his lip as he half-listened, nodding whenever the speaker had paused. He was so doomed.
It had not escaped his notice that among the new hired staff was a vampire. He was mildly surprised that a vampire had applied for a job like this to begin with, and his eyes narrowed as he tried to puzzle out whether or not this vampire was a newborn. He seemed in control for the most part, and this was a good sign -- it meant he wouldn't have to kill the child just yet. After all, if he presented a danger to the restaurant and the town as well, he would not stand for it. This was one of the few places he had found suitable for living, and he would not see it risked by a vampire on the rampage.
After the groups had begun to file away, he followed the three that were designated to wait tables, eyes sharp as he watched the orange-haired vampire move with that easy grace typical of his kind. It was only after the day of training was done that he finally approached the younger -- he could sense the unease, it was practically radiating off the vampire, and for good reason.
His voice was steel when he caged in his new employee, his eyes icy cold and promising danger if the newcomer was a threat to the safety of his employees and customers. "You're a vampire." His voice was cold, it betrayed nothing, and yet it was also barely audible -- dangerous.
「 all the way to cloud 9 。」
"9 Cloud Avenue, right? Like Cloud 9? I think I like this address more already —" He was practically bouncing, his cocky alter-ego of his hunter persona having completely dissolved in the presence of his hyung and he blinks at the vampire, pushing his glasses further up the bridge of his nose. There was a four-box tall stack of boxes in his arms that’s he trying not to drop, the top one mostly files that he had gathered and — cough, stolen — and he was still trying to put a name to the face of the vampire who was attacking him.
( He still had nightmares of the day Taekwoon had ended up on his doorstep wrapped in silver chains, after all. )
The only real reason they were moving was because the vampire that had been threatening him for the past year and a half had been sending strange threats to 7 Crimson Crescent, and rather than endanger the lives of everyone living there — Hongbin decided to just get out. And well, Taekwoon had to come with him of course. The elder didn’t seem to believe that he could live on his own.
They had had this whole argument that consisted of Hongbin’s habit of only ever eating cereal and drinking coffee, along with the whole thing of Hongbin’s also slightly worrying obsession with bacon, and in the end the vampire was moving out with him as well.
"Oh, I see it!" He nodded his head to the townhouse that they were going to be living at from today on and he heads towards it, attempting, and failing, to get the keys out of his pocket. "Hyung, help me —"
"You're a child," he sighed with a quiet shake of the head, both amused and slightly exasperated at how in the world the younger could possibly pull on the cocky persona of his hunter self when in reality, he was a child, through and through. He'd offered to carry the boxes for the younger, seeing as how it really wasn't a problem for him, but Hongbin had insisted that the bags were heavier and that Taekwoon should carry those.
( It must have been a lie. Boxes of paper tended to weigh considerably more than a few measly bags, and even with his reduced strength due to the sun in the sky, these bags were light. Perhaps it was because of the sun that Hongbin had insisted he carry these. )
Glancing quietly towards the direction that they were headed, he frowned slightly as the sun shone into his eyes ( it hurt, still ) and he squinted, exhaling softly before he juggled the bags slightly so he could slip a hand into the hunter's pocket, pulling out the keys to their new home.
He couldn't possibly have let the other live on his own, he reasoned quietly, unlocking the door and holding the door open for his roommate. The list of things Hongbin could cook were limited to cereal ( which didn't require cooking to begin with, unless one was truly strange ) and bacon, his one true love.
"This is different," his voice came out in a soft murmur and it was just like him to state the painfully obvious, his eyes blinking slowly in the dimness of their new home. This was much nicer than being outside, and he yawned a little bit -- despite the fact that it was late afternoon, he hadn't had the chance to sleep very much that day.
✗On the Air, In the Air ─ Taekwoon & Derek
A quiet voice startled him, the distinct feeling of vampire overwhelming him before the others’ face appeared. “Y-yeah,” Derek stammered, studying the man’s fierce features anxiously, his dark eyes flickering to the movement in interest. There was something about this vampire (the scent was coming from him, right?) that put him on edge, grated him even, but he couldn’t place just what that might be. Perhaps it was the human in him, the part that was telling him this man was dangerous, that he needed to go. “I’m uh… We live together. Along with Hoseok-hyung.” As though that could help the man understand where he was coming from. But he had no clue how much Jimin had told of their life back home, or if he even know Derek’s name.
With the new knowledge he couldn’t help but sigh, considering it was exactly what he’d been trying to avoid. “Did he say anything as to where he was going?” The idea of Jimin out there causing trouble was something that simply didn’t sit well with him. But neither did this vampire, honestly. He let himself look down at the man’s wrist out of curiosity, catching sight of something familiar. His eyes narrowed, even though he could see perfectly in the dark, focused on the two little puncture wounds on his forearm. “What happened to your wrist? If… I may ask,” Derek quickly amended. Even if he wasn’t comfortable, that didn’t mean he had to be rude. And more importantly, had Jimin done that? What didn’t that kid do to satiate his curiosity…
The names didn't ring a bell, and he shook his head quietly in indication that he didn't know who the other was talking about. Something about the other vampire struck him as intimidated, or something -- it was like he was almost afraid of him, but why? He knew he had an intimidating aura, but generally, other vampires were not frightened by that. Had Jimin told him something that would have caused him to act like this? At the mention of his wrist, however, he turned his attention to the twin puncture wounds, still healing over. It hadn't been long since Jimin had bitten down, so it made sense that the wounds hadn't healed over yet despite the accelerated healing of a vampire. That, and the bites that Jimin made were always more like a little puppy gnawing at a bone, so there was always more to heal outside of the actual puncture wounds.
"This?" He murmured softly, glancing down at it with a soft sigh. "Jimin happened." It was all he offered up, his lips pressed into a thin line, seemingly displeased with his employee when in reality, he probably couldn't have cared less. He liked to think that it kept Jimin fairly well behaving, and as long as he wasn't biting customers ( or other employees ), then it was alright. "Does he do this at home, too?"
Back to the Days || Taekwoon & Remy
“You can talk out loud, y’know," Remy replied bluntly once he heard the usual ethereal voice in his head. "You just need the -" he flails his hands around his head "- for me. I’m not deaf."
Uh-oh. Bad choice of words. Remy put his hands over his mouth hastily and shifted back away from the vampire. He tried to hide behind his father to no avail.
This was the opposite of being on his best behaviour. Remy’s breathing hitched and he looked at his father coolly watching him from the corner of his eye. It wouldn’t do to anger an elder.
“I’m sorry. That was very rude. Please forgive me!" Remy’s inner voice trembled as it would have if it was spoken.
The sullen tone in which the child spoke didn't entirely surprise him; he could tell that he was upset from having been hindered in such a way. It had surely been a point of contention for most of his life, and while he understood that Thanasis was surely training Andronikos to be proper and respectful, he didn't take offense at the child's rude words.
"No, it's alright. You're forgiven. I understand that you can hear what I say, but it feels more natural to speak to you this way, does it not?" He smiled gently at the child, reaching out to ruffle his hair quietly. "It would be strange, to have me speaking aloud. I would appear insane to those who didn't understand, wouldn't I?"
It was simply all in an effort to make the young child feel more at home, more welcome. Thanasis was an important friend, after all, and his child was a blessing.
Mischief Managed | Jimin & Taekwoon
Ooh he’s being glared at now - how scary. How amusing. Despite the admittedly intimidating aura that the other man is directing at him, Jimin simply grins and keeps his hands where they are, not at all bothered by his manager’s displeasure with him. He’s been annoying Taekwoon ever since he started working at the inn, and so far, the vampire has yet to actually lash out at him for any of his dumb antics. How much longer can he push Taekwoon’s buttons before he gets a reaction, that is the question. “Do I?” the half-blood laughs. “Just thought I’d remind you again, in case you forgot. You are getting pretty old y’know.”
Only when fingers grip his wrists in warning does he finally stop pressing against the elder’s cheeks. He hums a little in agreement to the observation, nodding along with an ever-widening smile. “Yup I really don’t have any sense for that sorta thing,” the boy cheerfully confirms, unperturbed by the threatening tone lacing Taekwoon’s words ( he’s going to have to do better than that to keep Jimin in line ). Instead, he leans in closer to his employer, lips still parted in a grin but a more sober expression evident in his eyes. “Never had a need for it. After all, even if I did behave and do as he wanted, it didn’t make anything better.”
He doesn’t explain further than that, letting the matter drop as quickly as he’d brought it up. Twisting his right arm - with Taekwoon’s hand still attached to it - so the insides of both their wrists are showing, Jimin lowers his head and bites into the soft skin of the vampire’s wrist. Despite his constant complaints, he’s not entirely against how the other man’s blood tastes and besides, even if he doesn’t really need the blood the feel of flesh and bone between his teeth gives him something to gnaw on until he gets tired of it.
He only sighed in response, shaking his head in disbelief at the younger boy's antics. "Yes, I am aware. Are you sure you're not the one who forgets things?" He raised an eyebrow, though the action was lost underneath his fringe. "You seem to remind me constantly of things you tell me every time we see each other." His voice was dry, a hint of amusement behind the dry tone, but he wasn't really upset or angry at all. Jimin seemed to bring out the rather... sarcastic, talkative side of him that was generally repressed beneath a cool exterior.
The twisting of his left wrist so that the soft skin of the inside was showing elicited a soft hiss from him, and he watched impassively as Jimin sank his fangs into the pale skin, wincing slightly at the feeling -- it was something he would never get used to, despite how often it happened. Jimin never took much, in fact, he suspected that the halfblood enjoyed the actual biting instead of the blood.
He stood there patiently as the younger kept his mouth attached to his wrist, eyes glancing coolly over the top of the other's head in order to keep an eye out for any unwanted spectators. He could push them away and muddle their memories easily, if he needed to, so in the end it wasn't all that important. He let several minutes pass before he finally murmured, "Enough, Jimin."
「 puppy eyed interrogation 」
Letting out a hiss at the bite to his pulse point — it never really got better even after all this time, he wasn’t used to it — he closed his eyes, satisfied that his answers were all answered, somewhat to an extent, and he allowed himself to relax. Which, as always, was the first thing he had been told not to do as a hunter. Don’t let down your guard around vampires. It was never a good thing to go against the things that were part of your instinct but he trusted the other too much to care that he was going against everything, ever. The slight shift in Taekwoon’s position had him wincing, obviously it was a bit earlier than the vampire usually fed, considering it felt like the older male was biting into still open wounds, or not fully healed ones and he let out a small whimper of pain. He knew that the other never tried to hurt him, but this time he had probably done it to himself.
He relaxed further, settling down into the mattress and letting out a small sigh. It was always strange, being fed from, as he could literally feel the blood leaving his veins through the two puncture wounds in his neck. Imagining his parents’ reactions if they realized he was letting a vampire feed from him, the very thing that he had been training to kill since he could walk, was amusing. Even trying to imagine his past self’s reaction was rather comical. If someone had told him that he would be feeding a vampire in the near future, he knew he probably would’ve laughed and called them crazy. This was crazy, though, wasn’t it? Hongbin never thought he would trust a vampire enough to befriend it, let alone let it feed off of his life blood, but now … now he wasn’t so sure.
It had never been in his nature to trust people, but once he trusted someone, he was hard for him to fall out of it. Felling Taekwoon’s tongue along his neck, sealing the wounds obviously, he let out a small sigh, turning his face to press it softly into the pillow next to him before allowing him to drift off as well.
— — Chapter Six ; Complete
Mischief Managed | Jimin & Taekwoon
Vampire blood, human blood - does it make a difference? After all, isn’t a vampire’s blood a mixture of human blood, taken from various sources? Then again, it’s very likely he’s simplifying the biological process too much here and the whole matter is more complicated than what he’s giving it credit for. The questions circle around in Jimin’s head in-between tables, though all he gets for his efforts is a headache; this kind of thing was always his father’s field of interest, not his, and he’s fairly certain even the mad-scientist-esque vampire hasn’t found all the answers yet.
Whatever, it’s not worth his time to puzzle over such matters. He doesn’t like human blood because, well, he just doesn’t okay, end of story. Shaking his head as though physically shaking off the annoying thoughts, Jimin turns his attention towards something much more worth his while: how best to pass the half-hour before Derek comes for him. He’s not sure when they fell into this routine of walking home together after work, but he’s not complaining. It’s nice to have the company, though with his housemate around it does restrict him from exploring the town and the surrounding area more. Maybe he should sneak out before Derek gets there one of these nights…
"Has anyone ever told you your face is really odd?" he pops the question while leaning over the bar counter to peer at Taekwoon critically ( Jimin lacks a filter so whatever comes to mind at a given moment tends to slip out before he can decide if it’s a good idea to be saying such things ). "I mean, you got this constantly pissed at the world expression, but at the same time you kinda look like a gerbil with those puffy cheeks—" - to emphasize his point, he reaches forward to smush his employer’s cheeks together - "Maybe if you tried smiling more often it wouldn’t be so weird yeah?"
He only gave the other a deadpan glare in return, entirely unamused by the comment and the subsequent squishing of his cheeks that followed. "Yes, Jimin. You tell me this on a regular basis." He replied with a monotone voice and a glare set in his eyes, the words coming out slightly muffled due to the fact that Jimin's hands were still pressed to his cheeks tightly, and he could only sigh after he finished, knowing that the younger boy would only laugh.
Jimin tended to find the strangest things amusing, and he was a rather strange character himself, so it only made sense. Despite his preference for more... "normal" people, he found himself rather attached to the young halfblood. Perhaps it was because he was a halfblood, and he knew -- or he had heard about -- the pain halfbloods went through. In any case, he wouldn't ever do anything to actually hurt Jimin, and he had a feeling that the halfblood knew it.
"It's like you have no sense for self-preservation." He said quietly, his voice soft as ever but with a steely edge to it, a threatening sound, his hands coming up to grab onto Jimin's wrists. He may never actually hurt the younger, but it didn't mean he couldn't scare him a little. He had a lot of patience, but still -- the younger needed to respect him, at least while they were in their work environment.
