Mother & Son || Goddess & Lucifer
apollyon-morningstar:
Lucifer had just gotten out of his piano solo. Per the usual, he had earned his applause with fast fingers and a crooning voice. Thus, he was irritated when he had a bouncer working that night interrupt his glory to tell him that some tart in a short dress was demanding his attention. Normally, that sentence wouldn’t be a problem, but he was basking, dammit. He had moved to snap at him, but then he heard that she was claiming to be his mother and he went cold. He had gotten reports from Dream that one of the massive cells in Hell had gone empty. Lucifer had even taken a quick trip home to confirm. His mother had broken out. If she was really here…
Buttoning his jacket, he made his way over to where she was apparently being held outside. Opening the door, he gave a grin to his adoring public as the line around the block waited to get in, but when his eyes fell on the woman, he quirked a brow. She certainly didn’t look like his mother. “…Mum?” Dad, this was about to get complicated, especially with Lucifer’s son running amok, too.
Goddess waited outside, looking at the humans in a line who were staring at her with varying expressions, none of which she particularly cared for. Luckily, she needn’t have waited long as the humans all smiled as one at the figure who’d appeared and as she looked over her breath caught in her throat. Lucifer. He stood there and so much seemed to fall away. All that had happened in their past, her failings and his weren’t important in that moment as he stepped into view and spoke a single word. “L-Lucifer.” she said softly, uncaring for the humans in view as she forced her way forward and threw her arms around him; she wasn’t her true self right now but this was how these bodies expressed affection, it came on instinct.
“Oh, My Lucifer.” she breathed against him before leaning back to look at him, “My Darling, I don’t like the way these humans are looking at me, like I’m some sort of food.” How was she supposed to know how what humans did these days. She’d been hiding as this woman terrified she’d be dragged back to hell the last few days. “You and I need to talk,” she shook her head slightly, “I’ve missed you.”
