   Clank knew it would never be that simple. The chance of him being fixed was thin… it was in his coding. He believed Ratchet could do anything.   Just not save him.   He closed his eyes tightly, trying to block the voice of his worried friend. He wished he was just… gone. If he could leave successfully… he wouldn’t be able to hurt Ratchet right? 

     ❝ Clank… ❞

     Ratchet’s voice lowered as he continued to look around. Quickly, the worry increased as he saw no signs of his robotic companion. He hurriedly looked around however, again, he attempted to coax him out.

     ❝ Listen — I know it’s hard… but we’re in this together, ya know ?? I can fix it. I’m this close !! ❞ It didn’t matter if he was blind in one eye, & he was recovering from a broken arm. It didn’t matter if Clank had been the cause. What mattered was that Ratchet HAD to fix his best friend, before he lost him for good !!

   “Ratchet, I’ll hurt you again. You shouldn’t get close.”  He called out, not understanding why his friend wasn’t understanding the danger of being by him. He didn’t want to risk this again.   They had been through too much for this... to be their end.   “Please                  don’t let me hurt you again.”

   Clank had to admit that his father wanting to play catch was an odd thing. They usually spent time together in other ways – Clank almost outright questioned him if everything was alright.  But decided not to.  “Really? That sounds entertaining.”

   Yep… this was going to be a great day.  Spending time with his father… it was an activity he wasn’t going to take advantage of.   At the small pat, he chuckled. “I am happy we’re spending time together, father.”

“So am I, son.” Why couldn’t Nefarious take Clank to death arenas? Klunk enjoyed them! Even if the robots were twins, they had polar opposite tastes.

Digistructing a ball in his claws, the doctor used his boosters  to fly back and launch the ball at Clank.
