I went back a little cause i knew i remembered deb telling dex to kill her if she is ever suffering . & it was in 3x07 at the 31min mark. Its kind of a foreshadow.

THIS. ^^ I always think back to this to justify why Dexter did what he did in those final moments.

Deb: Just shoot me if I ever get like that.Dexter: Really? Deb: Hell, yes. I’d do the same for you. Pull the plug, put a pillow over your head, whatever. I’d never let you suffer.
