Well, what now?
I've always liked the deliberate detail that Trip eats and drinks alone, but nobody else does. They either have one of their Pokemon out or are sitting with other Pokemon trainers. It suits Trip's deliberately keeping everyone at a distance (including his own Pokemon, despite them loving and protecting him!) at this point.
He even gets annoyed when Ash asks him if he's already finished eating, trying to be friendly! But Trip does return the favour (in his own, high-handed jerk sort of way) by telling Ash he should worry about himself, not others, and then that his Scraggy hasn't perfected Focus Blast yet, as it still struggles to properly aim it, giving him a pointer to what to focus on, like with how he noticed Oshawott's eyes were shut during their earlier battle.
(Doesn't seem like it's tea like the last episode, they had little teacups in saucers, but these are bigger mugs. ... wonder if he's holding his mug with both hands like Ash does at home at the end of BW!? (With Ash, it's extra cute because we know he's absurdly strong and can carry that and heavier, pfft.)
... either way, it's just a fun shot.
Call-out post for Burgundy who apparently doesn't eat her greens or her cherry tomatoes and just eats the cheese (???) from her salad, perhaps with bread. Her soup seems untouched, so she was probably cutting up bread to eat the cheese on for her (faux) French vibes.
(Georgia seems to be ignoring her salad entirely to eat her soup. Dunno if that's better or worse than miss-only-picks-out-one-specific-ingredient-to-eat this reminds me of how I ate as an exceptionally picky autistic child.)
