Poster redesign project - Chrono Trigger

The objective was to create a poster for an existing video game, The palette was limited to only red, white, and black; and we had to fashion the resulting image into a horror-esque theme regardless of the game’s actual genre.

I chose CT because of the lasting effect it had on my childhood. So here we are! The references are pretty obvious to anyone who’s played the game. I was basically going for an aliens/Bram Stoker’s Dracula kind of aesthetic twist to go with the project brief. :))

I’ll likely revisit this later on for some tweaking. Also made another one featuring Crono, but wasn’t able to finish it. Next time!

It’s Chrono Trigger… on the NES? Yes, this is (quelle surprise) a Chinese bootleg NES port of Chrono Trigger. These are a couple of the early areas, Crono’s room and the teleporter, plus a battle scene. A battle scene where Crono fights some Pokemon. Yup. After having played it, I can report that while faintly impressive, it suffers from being so  incredibly, attention-sappingly slow that you’ll wonder if time itself has frozen.
