You have no idea how this trip take a 360 turn. I went to Mati to experience surfing and as disappointed as I was that I can’t stand longer than 2 seconds, God has other plans to show me. At around 10 pm, sea turtles have been hatched. They will be released before sunrise. I felt like if I were to travel with @edlynarellano again, we’d be yolo-ing the entire trip. 😂 Our anxiety is through the roof and we’ll say yes to everyone. When you enter the place, it doesn’t offer much. Nothing, no epiphany. They have restored the outside, provided a model structure of old Singapore which is a sight to see since it looks similar to old Manila, but other than that, you will see yourself in another version of Narnia going into some another dimension. My 🇹🇼 itinerary is less of man made and more of temples, food and ka-weirduhan. And I am thankful that my ever beautiful guides (naks!) went with it. If you want to hike a mountain with a Sierra Madre backdrop, do some research. Maybe there are other places out there that is less crowded. Mt. Mapalad is the Mines View Park of Tanay. Parking lot is full of 18-seater shit. You know...we hike mountain for the peace it offers, or the trees you get to touch or the conversation that has no background noise. A crowd this big is a guaranteed stress so your call. But hey, I know you want this! so...get a group of 5, maintain distance from the rest and have a good laugh on the trail. Nothing beats a night trail full of R18 and Tito/Tita jokes. So rock on! 🤟🏾PS. Don’t waste your time getting your photo on the other palad, unless you have a good photog friend, there’s no view.
