Hey Rosetta at the Shore Club, July 17 2015
the exact moment I fell in love with Tim Baker
hey rosetta! - stand by me (cover) fredrock fest, fredericton july 18, 2015
thought I would make a music related post since I havenât in literally ages!!!
Hey Rosetta! is an exceptional band I discovered fairly recently (beginning of this year) and have really grown to absolutely love them. Anyhow, this song struck a few chords in particular. Gold Teeth, from what I understand, is kind of a response to a v popular song out east called âSonnyâs Dreamâ by Ron Hynes. My mother used to sing and play this song on guitar for me when I was younger hoping I would take the sentimental lyrics about leaving home and moving on to bigger and better things, and create a wonderful life for myself elsewhere. Gold Teeth brings a new perspective to the song, stating that even though out east many choose to fly the coup, they always end up coming back one way or another. Funny enough, Tim Baker is correct as after years of living in Nova Scotia and picturing myself living abroad, after living in Alberta for a decade, Iâm heading home, so I thought that was pretty cool.Â

Here to play some tunes for you live in studio. And take your calls.
Hey guys I know I donât really post here anymore but thought some of you guys might want to hear this interview with Tim from Hey Rosetta!, at about 39:50 he plays a new song that really struck me hard so listen to it. Itâs called âBeneath the Cedarsâ and he says they havenât played it live but I have it down as in the set list from a show I went to in Toronto in 2013, either way itâs beautiful
Check this out, 50 beautiful minutes with Tim Baker, including a new song as mentioned above!! Beneath the Cedars is incredible, well worth listening to.
Hey Rosetta!'s Tim Baker was in studio for CrossTalk Friday, taking calls, answering questions and, yes, singing some songs.
