I'm still not done episode 10 yet, but thoughts I guess
Judging by the editing, I think the final four is gonna be Joy, Jason, Melanie, and Rochelle. Not sure about who's going to be 5th or 6th. Possibly Sandra at fifth to continue the "chicks who don't know how to communicate with their team" trend from last year's fifth placer. 6th place depends on when the merge is. Last year, they merged after 6th, but usually black team starts at 6th place.
Judging by what I've seen based on talent and consistency levels, I think the final six SHOULD be Joy, Jason, Anton, Melanie, RoRo, and Richard. It could still be that final four I mentioned earlier though.
Rochelle is the second strongest girl in the group at this point. Melanie has kinda been dethroned. I don't remember the last thing Melanie did besides fight Kashia. Joy is still the best though <3
I think Joy and Jason are final two. And Jason got a really big winner's edit in episode 10 when he was talking about how Azul was going to handle Ralph being temporarily out of commission, so he has a high shot at winning. I think Joy has less stacked up against her than Jason because she's a lot less of a ragebox than he is, but I think Jason's been edited more as the winner at this point. Also, he's calmed down on the anger recently.
I still want it to be Joyton in the final two, but judging from what we're seeing, I think Anton's ego and lack of filter might hinder him from winning or even getting a black jacket. :( I really don't think he's any cockier than Melanie (who I still love) or Kashia (who I don't really know how to feel about), but I've seen him get kinda... much. But I still love Anton and his sassiness. And quite honestly, if you didn't think Anton calling Scott a hemorrhoid was funny, you probably don't have a real sense of humor because that shit was hilarious and I do like Scott. Just realistically, I'm seeing him more as the seventh placer at this point, which sucks, because last year, I lost my favorite at 7th place and it almost ruined the whole season. And 7th place curse has been going on since Vinny was 7th place in HK8 (in both HK and Masterchef adult and junior. Vinny, Derrick, Natalie, Brian, Felix, Anthony, Jordan, Sofia, I've never forgotten any of you), so I would love for this to not happen. I guess if they merge at 5, he could be 6th place and join the last two long term villains, but idk. hate on his personality all you want, he deserves a black jacket wayyyyyyyyyy more than Scott, Gabriel, Kashia, and Sandra. He's too talented and (usually) too professional and too good of TV to deserve less than at least a black jacket.
That all being said, there is no doubt in my mind that Anton would SLAY the expediting challenge, so if he goes home because Rojo decided to get strategic, I wouldn't blame them. He'd be a terrifying opponent in final four.
Scott is really cute, but people keep saying Scott is gonna win because "he knows what he's doing" but there hasn't been an episode yet where Scott knows what he's doing so I don't know what's wrong with people. The only way I see him getting to top six is if there's a family visit and they bring out babies because I was told he's a dad and babies get ratings.
Gabriel can only hang onto his glimmer of TV potential by nominating Ralph instead of himself for so long. Just because he beat Queen Joy in one challenge does not make him worthy of black team. Anton fucked up on a halibut like literally everyone on this goddamn show has before. He didn't try to cook two chicken breasts and make them look like salmon instead of chicken. Gabe sucks. I'm sad he's still there over most of the people who went before him.
Sandra may be decent at times, but she's still the one who bumped boobs with Joy and lost her hearing for that service (episode 6!). She isn't winning this competition.
Ralph's an idiot. I understand he was sick and no one deserves to go home when they're sick, but was it actually that hard to relocate to a different room if Gabriel's snoring was that bad? or ask for earplugs? I know what it's like to not be able to sleep for an entire night, but he could've taken a goddamn nap after the gastro pub or something that didn't need medical. I think he's a stronger chef than Gabriel and Scott and should probably be there over both of them, but he's obnoxious and I won't miss him.
I wish Anton was on HK11 so he could throwdown with Zach because Zach is a moron and an actual complete waste of airtime. Anton is much better at cooking and TV than ~Grant Banks~ is, no doubt. Anton <333
