(urge one of my weakness’. i love these two because of Secret Avengers (even though i had so many problems with the comic run itself)
“You can’t be serious,” Jessica kept her arms crossed over her chest and glared at the red head in front of her “wait,” he eyes went wide when Natasha didn’t bother to respond to her “you’re serious?”
“of course i’m serious Jess,” Natasha said as she pulled the zipper to her duffle bag closed and tossed the handles onto her shoulder “this is my job. i go out and kick bad guy ass.”
“no, your job is to kick super villian ass, not take side missions for SHIELD that have nothing to do with the Secret Avengers or the Avengers. don’t you work enough?”
“i get board easily” she pushed her long, red hair out of her face and smirked “besides, you said you were going to take some time off. you quiet, remember? wanted a normal life and everything?”
“yes, and i was kind of hoping that you would…. you know….” she kicked the ground beneath her and sighed “that you would maybe think of…taking a vacation with me.”
“i don’t really do vacations Jess,” with a sigh of defeat, jessica looked back up at her girlfriend and tried to give her the best puppy dog eyes that she could muster up “don’t even bother Jessica. for once, Clint’s are better and i know how to turn him down.”
“Clint’s idea’s are usually stupid.” protested Jessica
“not…always” Natasha smiled fondly as she thought about some of the missions she had let Clint convince her into “it’ll be a quick mission Jessica. if you hang around, maybe i’ll take you up on that Vacation.”
“you’re really going to make me wait?” Natasha only had to raise her eye brow for a second before Jessica was admitting defeat “fine, fine. go on your super secret bad ass SHIELD mission so you can help Director Hill and Agent Fury. but i warn you, if you die out there, i’m going to kill you”
“jess, that doesn’t even make sense”
“we all know there are ways to bring you back.” Natasha thought about it for a second before nodding. Jessica wasn’t wrong after all, and Natasha had seen many people come back from life. If anyone could manage to find a way to bring her back, it would be Jessica and it would not end well. she may have been more trained then her girlfriend, but she still knew what the other women was capable of.
“fine,” she conceded, holding up her hands in a sign of defeat “fine, i will come back alive and then i promise you i will join you for a Vacation. i’m not quiting, but i will do a vacation”
“Yay!” Jessica hopped up in her place in excitement and ran forward to hug Natasha “and stop hanging out with Clint. you’re getting body language from him and it’s creepy.”
“sorry” Natasha chuckled as she hugged Jessica back “habit.”
